He's playing? Na, there's no way they'd be stupid enough to play him despite being desperate enough to take him on in the first place.

Last I heard he was pushing Jol all the way in the annual Foolham pie-eating contest.

Routledge was part of the squad but was only on loan,ie. he wasn't a QPR player in May 2011.

    He's in their squad Swords.

    That is a fact.

Whether he is any good in your opinion is not a fact.

The facts are, this is his third consecutive season involved in a Premiership squad.

If he was in a League one squad, I could understand your opinion. I don't understand your opinion because it is contrary to the facts.

    you are correct
the first season he failed to get the hoops relegated
    the second season he succeeded
the third season he will succeed as well with the fools, unless godfather Jol has him shot

You do make a valid point in that, curiously, he is the only player of that team that's still up there. I was skeptical at the time that any of our players would be able for the step up except for Faurlin but he choked as well.

As for Taarabt, despite being in Fulham's squad, I wouldn't consider that as having "made it" at Prem level. I believed Jol made a mistake singing him and it appears like he's come to a similar conclusion by not putting him in the team. The only mistake we made was not selling him because it'll be impossible to shift him at the end of this season if things continue as they are.

Your fact is a fact and its quite perceptive of you to be fair. Having said that, as bad as our players were at PL level, very few of them acquitted themselves worse than that chap. Which is a terrible indictment of him as a player and indeed as a man, considering they had practically zero talent and he had bucket loads of it.

    What a dreadful waste.

Thats right he was on loan,

i just looked up the squad and it names him but doesnt mention the loan.

But, he was part of the 25 you mentioned..i.e. the remaining 24 sdo i guess were both right( & wrong).

not intrested in going into whether hes any good or not TBH I'll leqave that for Joll to decide <ok>

That is just your opinion of course Swords, nothing less, nothing more.

In my opinion, he had one and a half decent seasons with us in the Prem. His season fell apart last season the day Harry arrived. They never have been good together and it looks like they never will get along and therefore AT's days at Loftus Road are probably numbered.

Who knows where he will go from here. None of us are mystic Meg. None of us predicted Barton returning and getting standing ovations every time he takes a corner.

Before gloating about who was proved right and who was proved wrong, remember the facts. This is his third consecutive season he is involved in a Premiership squad. Fulham are a much better run club than us and I think they will stay up. I never said he was a world beater but I really did enjoy watching him play much more than any other QPR player I have ever seen in real life. I adored watching Les Ferdinand, Gary Bannister and Johnny Byrne. In terms of sheer footballing pleasure, Adel was a joy to watch when he was good.

Anyway, I think that chapter in QPR's history is now closed and I think it is time we all moved on and forget about AT. He is not coming back. The current team is what is important.

That's all I have to say on the matter.

I don't think we can get closure on this topic until the people who went into overdrive on this guy having achieved promotion, admit that there were others they should have listened to instead of deriding. Only then will we finally be able to put this one to bed.

That fact is confirmed in my view by the fact that its the one's who were most up this lad's anal passage that now keep telling everybody they shouldn't talk about him (EG yourself and COL). I wonder why that is? What have they got to hide?

I think we all know the answer to that and its a large slice of humble pie that they're unwilling to swallow.

That post is simply ridiculous and childish Swords. Is Adel playing for Hartlepool United or something??

As I said, the facts are, Adel is the only QPR player from May 2011 still involved in a Premiership squad. The fact that he is still in the Prem means he is decent. You need to acknowledge that. That's where the humble pie needs to be swallowed. If he was plying his trade today in L1 or L2, humble pie would need to be swallowed by some people.

By the way, I never went over the top about how good he was. I maintained he was the best player at the club and the player who gave me the most pleasure in watching the team. The fact that he is the only QPR player still in a Prem squad proves I was right in that assessment. Where are the rest of our squad from May 2011????

When are you going to swallow humble pie???

Just my 2 cents worth but Routledge was part of that squad, loan or no loan. He wasnt technically a signed QPR player, but he was most definately part of that squad!

he's played a lot more games in the Prem too, but thats just splitting hairs.

i just looked up that old squad and you are correct. They are the only 2 currently in squads in the Prem. I dont really think it means they are any better than Ali, Hill etc, but they were 2 of the younger players who people were willing to take a chance on.
Routledge has done well for himself. I'm not gonna comment on the other as its not worth the effort <ok>

When we had a vote on whether to keep Adel or sell him after we were promoted, I voted to sell him and use the money for a player who can pass or tackle.
I think I was right

So basically you won't get over your obsession unless everyone who disagreed (and some who still disagree) say 'You told us so? Get over it. Move on. It aint gonna happen. Most of us live in the present and are happy to argue the rights and wrongs of our current manager and players without getting worked up still over ones who have gone. Your self restraint has been admirable so far this season. Don't wind yourself up into a permanent ban.
