As I trawl round opposition forums ahead of games I've noticed a very common theme; the fact that, when the subject of vocal support comes up, everyone reckons the atmosphere at their own stadium is ****. The fact is, because of all seater stadiums, over-zealous stewarding, and a higher proportion of more civilized/less gobby spectators, grounds are quiet these days. The only exception is usually the away support, although even that's not a given; when Liverpool visited us in December they sold out their away allocation of 2,500-3,000 or whatever it was, but even these supposedly legendary fans were like ****ing church mice, apart from for a few minutes after they equalised.
