Albion on a Friday

Next up, WBA. We have a ticket promotion doing very well right now - will be over 20,000 for a rare time for a league game at Portman Road these days - shame. All the more pleasing as it's on Sky. We don't do well on the box often......

We host WBA, who sit in 5th with their front trident. Ouch.... that being said, they've won 1 in 5 having lost 3 of them. Perhaps a good time to play them.

I'm liking all things Lambert so far - think he's done a great job to date with all manner of things. Needs that win to get the camel off the back early though!

On paper, I'd have to say away win all day long. I'll let the rest of you kick off with predictions etc.

One thing Lambert does appear to like is a settled side, so I'd expect no more than 1 or 2 changes maximum.

No surprises from Town. Away win I’m afraid - 2-0 West Brom.

 

Could this be our customary once-a-season big win? We always tend to defy the odds once a year (or have we had it with the Swansea game?)
Either way, I'm going for a totally against the odds 2-1 win... Sears n wacko Jacko on the score sheet.

Another draw,we can't seem to buy a win these days!

 

3-1 West Brom.

 

Great to see the confidence and enthusiasm flowing through the Club again after the dark days of last season and up to now, and although its difficult to see a win we must avoid defeat to keep the good vibes going.
This is the game where the midfield must perform with aggression to stop their front players getting service and creativity to get us moving up front, the defence will be put under pressure by Robson - Kanu and Co so absolutely essential to stand firm, I think this could be the season defining game, if we collapse like a wet paper bag then we are in serious trouble but if we meet the challenge head on and get something from the game then that's a confidence booster.

 

Can't help but feel cautiously optimistic going into this one... Though not entirely sure why.

Wets Brom have scored buckets and will probably comfortably score the most goals by any side this season, which is a little surprising given Darren Moore was such a behemoth of a defender.. Though I would expect Rodriguez and Gayle to net 20+ each this season so that should see them comfortably in the play off picture.

Think we'll be like lightning out of the traps and score early but once again struggle to hold on to take all 3 points. Another 2-2 draw with yet another late equalizer conceded in the last 15 minutes.
