    Your thinking of it as ironic doesn't therefore mean it is in fact ironic.
    What would be ironic would be a poster from the darkside making bets on here, reneging on said bets and then having the nerve to return.

    I've noticed that people without a decent answer always throw in the word 'ironic'.

    You can chuck the word at virtually owt and reduce things to a pedantic grammar debate ..... so, I'll repeat the point of the thread, the signature is pathetic coming from a mod.

    He obviously sees himself as some kind of desk bound caped crusader.

    I don't really understand how it's caused such a stir. It doesn't alter how many posts appear on a page and shouldn't offend anyone, it's pretty inoffensive.

    Saying it's a daft attention seeking signature hasn't lead to mass resignations from the board or calls for a ban.

    A few people saying it's way too big isn't hysteria.

    As I've said, it's a pain when you're using an i-phone or whatever and his usual 6 word post takes up half the page.

    That's all.

    Besides, would it really reduce the 'impact' if it was a tenth of the size ....... or it it really hurting Ashley as it is now :)

    I don't think you two really understand the word ironic. Your example is very poor. I do think it is poor form to renege on a bet though. Irony can be subjective. I found that statement ironic. <ok>

    I can't say the signature bothers me but then I don't have a small device.
