which one of those i mentioned are not a lb? Flanagan is a better LB. Better defensively and is 2 assists behind Moreno in about half the minutes and under the same regime as Moreno (well actually worse, he didn't get to play under klopp last season). If you count luke shaw as 1st choice, then Blind is a better LB. More threat, more intelligent, better defensively. Ben Davies LB, Azpilicueta/alonso both playing LB (as the primary positions), Gibbs (arsenals one) LB, Clichy LB. just cause i used the word FB doesn't mean they aren't LB.
He probably still is!. Hell i'd even put Konchesky there. at least you know he'd be in a defensive position rather than hugging the touchline near the oppositions corner flag
Moreno is just not very bright, is he? He might learn, he might improve defensively, but when plans change and players need to react and adapt, he will not be able to. Look at how fluid our attack and midfield are. Sure you can drill and practice, but it's never the same. They see the game and adapt. Klopp needs intelligent players and that's why Moreno won't cut it long term at LB.
This is the key, the lad is completely vacant. I can imagine him in training, sat in the corner sucking his thumb, until somebody tells him what to do. The rash challenges, the misplaced passes, the heading it back into your own area, it just smacks of someone who isnt very smart. He can do the very basics, such as run and jump, he can even manage to carry the ball with him at times, but god forbid he needs to make a judgement call. You can train and instruct anybody, but you can not make people cleverer
3 and 6 years older, and have played for their current manager for 12 and 3 years. So don't justify making replacing Moreno a priority in my (and Klopp's) opinion. Any more? 2nd best 2nd choice LB in the PL?
Not what you said If I could be arsed to go through the teams I'd provide more. Anyone with two LBs basically
I remember the dark days under Hodgson when Joe Cole was a marquee signing and we were actually discussing the benefits of signing Carlton Cole and how he'd be an option. These days the most we can complain about is a young, technically gifted full back who is prone to losing concentration defensively from time to time.
Any other stipulations, does hair colour matter, can the manager be any nationality as long as he has been at the club less than 12 months? It says a lot when you don't have a first choice LB and the backup is still second choice
