City confirm Adomah transfer request Posted: Thu 11 Jul 2013 Author: Adam Baker Albert Adomah Albert Adomah Image by: josephmeredith.com Brief club statement released. City can confirm that Albert Adomah has submitted a written transfer request. As far as the club is concerned its position remains unchanged. As with any player, until an acceptable offer is received he will remain a Bristol City player. The club will be making no further comment at this time. Basically the club has said thanks for giving up your 5% but until we get an offer that is acceptable you stay where you are.
now it has been confirmed let the bidding war commence I wonder if David Moyes is feeling generous and wants to put in a £3 mil bid
We could always send him a text or a sms telling him AA is available relatively cheaply well compared to Zaha he is
**** me Albert will bring down Van Persies goal ratio, he's not even fast enough to get onto Albert's final ball. I do rate Albert, but he can be so frustrating to watch if only he looks up more, I think he missed Maynard playing off him.
It's now about maximising what we can get. I see Palace have already signed Jerome Thomas, so that may rule them out.
I'm sorry........I still can't get with this major Albert love-in. He has undoubted tallent and pace to spare, a genuine likeable guy, but to me he is still a long long way from the finnished product. L1 at best, championship on his day.....which wasn't every game was it? in fact I would say there was weeks at a time when he was just not with it. He may well look better in a decent team though, one with the confidence to play football.....unlike us last term. If anyone offers 1 million I would take it in a flash. Good luck to the lad either way.
http://www.thisisbristol.co.uk/story-19511041-detail/story.html#axzz2YdHPPp3R As this article states - he only started 5 games under SoD
SOD says he wants to play possession football which says that Albert is NOT in his plans. If u rated players on who can run half the length of pitch with the ball then albert would be up there but if u rate players on possession and keeping the ball he would be down the bottom. I have said before that there is no point having a player who can beat many players, run the length of the pitch but then either runs the ball out of play or crosses it to their players. I for one will be happy to see him go it we can get a decent amount for him as he has got too big for his own boots as the label of citys best player went to his head and he was poor last season. His best season was when we had maynard who had the attention from the media and let Albert get on playing football
I don't think it was a case of it going to his head it was he couldn't mesh with the forwards we had after Maynard they just played well together.
Albert Latest Alistair Durden ‏@alidurdenBBC 1m I understand Wigan Athletic have made a third offer for Bristol City winger Albert Adomah. Club yet to respond. #bcfc #wafc
Wigan offered 850k last time. Can't see it being anymore than 1 million now. Still that 1 mill could bring in some more players. We might even go back in for McFadzean/Dunne/Pack
If city accepts this and albert agrees terms with wigan it may make the next week interesting, ie will they pay a couple off kilkenny/wilson maybe sign a player or two pack/harewood
