That's what worries me Proud. Piper, Walsh and even Shilton were not very good when tried in that role. Young cracked it, hence he stayed on for so long. I hope they have a tried and tested replacement, because it won't be easy. And as you say, I hope they're not going to promote Bourne or that other guy that started last season, because I'd rather hear expert analysis from, yer know, an expert (ie an ex-player).

That said, hopefully I'll be able to get many of our away matches online, so won't listen to RL as much.

disgusting treatment from him by the sounds of it too.

Really really feel for the lad. I liked him and stringer. Yes, he could be miserable at times - but thats when we played bad and he showed emotion which i liked!!

Bloody hell, thought he did a fabulous job.

    Surprised he's been sacked.

While I wouldn't have sacked him if it was up to me but I don't think he was irreplaceable by any means

Not got a clue on this one as I live in Germany but some of these local radio stations do seem to have some muppets working for them, not saying AY is one mind, I´m talking about his potential replacement.

It's not the first time Radio Leicester have shown their ruthless streak. They did exactly the same to good old Nev Foulger s few years back!<doh>

Am guessing that he was a bit too argumentative - was part of his charm.

BBC is government controlled (no it aint neutral), so wouldnt be surprised if they aint been told to cut costs. Blame Cameron, and vote them out in 10 months time. Not seen less compassion from a government since the wicked witch was in power.

... has anyone else noticed that Louis Van Gaal has the same ridiculously shiny plastic head as David Cameron? ... I suspect I may find him just as irritating ...

Time for the doomsayers at full time to run riot without him reigning them in.

I think Young is meeting with BBC reps today. Maybe a fan forced turnaround?

No turnaround. Young goes, Stringer and Bourne stay. Says it all really.

Great, keep the guy that has mood swings (if we beat Everton, he'll say we're staying up) and get rid of the reasonable guy -.-
