Who ?.Can only speak for myself but Laudrup was my favorite Swansea manager.Managers are never around a long period of time though .Its unfair to compare a manager to players who spend a entire career for a team helping them climb all divisions to the top .Other wise both" Big Time" managers and players would never be here in the first place . My favorite season was winning League 1

I'm not being intentionally naughty Jonas. <hug>

Tate has never been a manager so I assume we're comparing the two as players.

Tatey was great for us but as footballers it's comparing apples and orangutans. :emoticon-0110-tongu

I wasn't saying Tate is an orangutan or Pee-Wee Herman. <laugh> I was using the comparisons to apples and Tyson an an analogy. <sorry> if anyone took offence because they didn't see that.

You were mighty quick to dismiss someone saying something about our players elsewhere and then say these things about Tate ...whats good for the gander is good for the goose , sort of speak

Sorry but I don't understand that one at all roofjack. I was only saying that if you are comparing Tate and Laudrup as players there's no contest. You can't compare them as managers. Tate was a decent player in the lower leagues whilst Laudrup's career was out of this world. No brainer.

A poster named Bob compared two of our younger players by saying it was like replacing dirt with dog poo or something like that and I thought that was horrible. Bit different, no? To be fair I think Bob apologised afterwards.

No offence meant by my post and it's unfortunate you took it that way. Perhaps you missed the bit where I said "Tatey is a legend in Swansea and rightly so". My hubby often picks fights with me over nothing, you think he'll be at home here? <laugh>

The only time comparisons were made between them as players was you .Somebody wrote all Laudrups achievements as a player explaining who Laudrup was in answer to daiswsan asking who Laudrup was As for analogies...you cant point at one anology and say it not meant to degrade a player and say the next one does ...cheers.ps excuse my spelling.

In all seriousness, we mustn't forget that Tate provided the passes for the 2 penalties at Wembley - first to Dyer then to Borini! <cheers>

Absolutely mate, he made a lot of valuable contributions along the way and good luck to him in everything he does....I just didn't rate him very highly from day 1 and felt there were better defensive options out there for us (pretty much at every level we played at I felt this).
To me he was always among the weaker handful of players in the squad every season.
Proved a useful utility man in the end though and I even joined in with the chant, just that I always thought of it as ironic <laugh>
