    After the rioting, horse-punching and pitch invasions, I can see why a bit of a nut doesn't register on the mag richter scale of off-the-pitch offenses. Sadly, others and the FA disagree.

    Personally, I didn't think that there was that much to it, as it wasn't really much of a "stitch this" moment, but the utter stupidity of it was pretty impressive. Probably about a two-match touchline ban for the nut and another 8 for making a dick of himself :)

    Not what you'd expect from a manager of a football club though. Not what you'd expect from a player.

    I wonder what would happen if a fan was to do that during a game?

    Probably a lengthy ban.

    reminds me of the case of the subsituted Southampton player (Dani Osvaldo) who kicked our goalkeeping coach (Woodman) between the legs from behind
    he was in the dugout and got involved, he only got a 3 match ban but a 40K fine for violent conduct, can't see any difference

    saying that, he then got involved in a nasty fight with one of his own players a few weeks later, then got shipped out of Southampton (no pun intended)

    Good on John Anderson, does anyone take Souness seriously, after all he stuck by Bowyer and Dyer when they had a fight with each other. He also gave Bowyer a public dressing down at Liverpool after getting sent off.

    You lot are sick by the way. Ignoring the fact that everyone whining clearly needs to grow a pair, the most popular choice at present is death by Pennywell. Clearly his offence was worse than I thought.

    In all seriousness, if it had been a supporter caught on camera doing what he has done, it would have been a heavy fine and five year stadium ban at the very least..

    Aye, just as well he isn't a supporter.
    Personally, I think the FA will come down hard on him.
    Also as they will be setting a precedent in the case, they will ensure that the penalty is a deterrent.
    Minimum of 10 game Stadium Ban.
