You can't fail but to be impressed by the management of Alan Pardew on this one.

HBA is looking impressive and obviously fresh after being used sparingly - a master stroke by AP, with Ba & Tiote missing, HBA will now play off Leon Best/Shola and will keep our momentum going.

Transfer business aside, it brilliant management recently from AP.

I can see Best chipping in with 2 or 3 goals at the most. Things are going to get a bit more sparse goals wise but with better suppy of chances from the right it shouldn't hurt us too much hopefully. Time fo the wingers and midfielders to start shipping in with some goals

I would play Shola with HBA. Shola has been class for the majority of this season when given the opportunity. Granted he did miss a sitter yesterday but those who mock Shola are basing that on previous seasons, not what he's doing now.

It wouldn't be so brilliant if Ben Arfa got pissed off and wanted out, would it?

Pardew isn't perfect, he CAN make mistakes and he IS walking a tightrope with **** like this. I'd really rather he didn't take the risk.

No, he's still **** I'm afraid.

Ameobi isn't scoring goals (1 goal in 12 apps this season <doh>), but people are praising him on his other attributes which help create goals. So you want to play the guy who is doing OK at helping to create goals, along with Ben Arfa, who is another guy good at creating goals.

I don't think he's very good at either, but if I take note of what others have said, then we're basically pairing together two secondary strikers, with Ben Arfa, the playmaker, looking like far more of a goal threat than Ameobi.

We need a GOALSCORER.

Obertan up front is the answer.

Obscenely large bonce - check
Pace - check
Some tricks (mostly step overs) - check

Most of all though, he's clearly not an accomplished provider at the moment, so why not try him as a finisher?

Said this after the Arsenal game, has it all in his locker to be a decent forward.

I was at the game and I thought Best was good in the second half. Held the ball up well, never gave it away and moved well off the ball.

I agree with this article as well, Pardew always knew Ba was leaving, and he has left Ben Arfa fresh and ready to prove a point. Good management from Pardew.
