i know but i doubt Tottenham would sell Friedel to us after the Berbatov and Fryers sagas.

so he will not learn from our GK coach then? but more from older GK taking his palce?
even if he get some learning, he will learn more by playing regularly tbh .. sitting on the bench will never help .. we may be better send him in loan tbh .. i hardly remember a GK become a world class by sitting on the bench

    I think it's a great idea..

That or bring schmeichel in as a keeping coach. Though I'd prefer a steady pair of hands as back up. I had more confidence in kuschak than I do in lindegaard.

This, i would be in favour of that if it happened, De Gea would be learning from the best keepers in the world and the best keeper we've had at United.

You mean the goalkeeping coach he is learning from right now? He's not doing that much good on a couple of issues is he?

Of course he would learn from him, this is how football, as in life, works.

What part of "to be used in cups and to give de Gea a breather" is so ****ing difficult for you two to understand??

comn let us be fair .. the guy improved since last year , sure our GK coach did great job and sure he has more jobs to work on still.. do you honestly think signing another GK to play ahead of Gea will make him learn more ??? definitely not .. it will only gonna make him worst

am more in favor with above idea from returnofthesweatband to having schmeichel (or even VDS) as our GK coach than signing new GK to hold on Gea's development and kill his confidence

Just to clarify what I thought was bleeding obvious, Friedel (or whoever) REPLACES Lindegaard, from whom de Gea can learn literally nothing.

He then plays when Lindegaard would occasionally play, League cup, FA cup etc., and when de Gea needs an occasional breather.

Money from sale is used to get experienced goal keeper, there would be no spend. Experienced goal keeper is happy to be second goal keeper at Manchester United rather than 2nd goal keeper at Spurs, with potential to be part of winning stuff

    QED.

Someone like freidel is ideal, as he is at the end of his career and as a Ayer he has overcome a fair amount of adversity in his younger years and became one of the best keepers in the league. If while giving de Gea a breather and imparting some of his experience can only be a good thing.

It's much in the same way as us being linked with lampard. As fergie with losing giggs and scholes at the end of the season wants to add an experienced head in the side..

Exactly why most fans don't want to talk to United fans.

Anyway... Fair points on the goalkeepers I mentioned. Have to say I think Courtois could be the next big thing, although I take your point about De Gea at Athletico.

Would really like to see Jack Butland in the PL. Seems like he needs to step up to continue his progression. Not looking up to his Olympic standard

comn experienced Riena keep doing same mistakes over and over and you still worship him and saying how great GK he is
the guy is just young .. is madness how unfairly he is treated .. tell me when was the last time he made a mistake ?
stop being a wum and bias and people will respect you .. earn the respect and stop repeating what media says like a headless chicken .. have your own opinions

    Okay, I'll play.

'you still worship him' - where did I do that? Did you mean Liverpool fans as a whole? Many think he's dodgy <ok>

Didn't De Gea make a bad punch v Spurs leading to Dempsey's goal? Can't say I saw the match.

'stop being a wum' - where is the wumming?

Where have I repeated something the media say? I do believe my posts are full of my own opinion... if you've read them you would know that.

In short - don't look for an argument where there isn't one.

i mean prior to spurs game? isn't that obvious? <doh> even that punch facing spurs, it was not really super mistake tbh but anyway remind me where was last time prior to that he did a mistake?

is not only liverpool fans, even media are linking Riena to alike of Arsenal, Barca or UTD and ignoring his mistakes
Gea problem is he is playing for a bigger club who everyone want to see them down bcz they are successful atm

...How exactly is that obvious? 'When was the last time he made a mistake apart from that mistake he just made'.

I don't watch every United game, but I'm sure I could google it and find one.

No-one is ignoring Reina's mistakes. He has had a very poor run of form over the past two years that he only seems to be improving on now.

Don't think there's a personal dislike for De Gea because he plays for United... although success does indeed breed contempt. Most of us want to see some of your other, more hateful players fail <laugh>

No, no. You don't want to see them fail cos they're hateful, you just want to see them fail cos you are so jealous of how good they are.

Least that's what I'm extrapolating from all the Suarez claims... <whistle>

am talking about a mistake prior to that ? if you don't watch UTD game and have to google them <doh>, then on what fkn ground, we arguing ? <doh> as i said you seem then no more than someone who repeat what media says like a headless chicken .. what better prove i can have than your statement above .. and you ask people to respect idiots who comes here posting rubbish without watching the player .. for god sake every GK made a mistake and can google it too <doh>
all clubs were linking to Reina before and now too .. so your argument is pointless .. no one want even to discuss his mistake bcz he plays for a wee club in Merseyside
