... was presenting last time I listened to Pick of the Pops 2. I mean you listen to Talk Sport or radio 5 on a Saturday don't you? But I am desperately trying to inoculate myself against any sport broadcasting because when they stop talking about Palarse in the cup final they talk about the other lot going to Wembley next week. I can't stand it. I would go out but living in Dulwich all the plastic Nigels are out in force. I am sitting here wallowing in such huge football related self pity (its ok I have some perspective - everything else in life is pretty chipper). Today is I think the lowest I have ever felt in 31 years of supporting Charlton. So thought I would socialise this pain in the vain hope of finding some comfort amongst like minded souls. Roland. Just about to have lunch then off to the allotment well away from the Cup Final. Thanks to Roland the Snake (as the locals in his town call him) we're the laughing stock of South London.

Freeman was one of Saville's best friends. Allegedly. Horrible character.

When I was a kid, my friend's dad used to pass our house every Saturday and Sunday, and on many light evenings, on his way to his allotment. My mother always loudly compared him favorably to my father, who preferred to go dog racing, or sit on his arse reading the Greyhound Express. This neighbour was the ideal husband according to my mum.

Many years later, it came out that this neighbour, who was a meek, unimpressive Scotsman, had been banging numerous local women in the tool-shed on his allotment for a decade, and had got two of them pregnant.

We are watching you, Billy!
