    To be honest now i am just here for the ****s and giggles. your boards reaction to my simple question (bar 2 people who gave decent answers) was ****ing amazing. I'm tempted to see how far i can push it now to get a reaction

    Well in the same interview he said:

    To me it sounds his interview was deliberately incendiary either to give the podcast a better media profile or to get himself into the public eye.

    I like Davies, but he's used completely the wrong tone here no matter what anyone thinks of the whole Hillsborough situation.

    IMO, Liverpool should be applauded for respecting their own fan's wishes, they don't want Liverpool to play on that day so why would Liverpool ignore that? I don't see why people stick their beaks in, if my close relative had been in such a disaster and people like Davies were trivialising it, I'd be pissed off.

    I am more than sure that Liverpool would happily play on Friday or Monday, it's the FA/ITV who have ****ed this up and caused this whole things (as per usual). They are who I blame for this, not Liverpool.

    Football fans ranting about another teams manager is hardly unheard of. There's a big gulf between that kind of incendiary and making comments around a tragedy. I can believe he'd be stupid enough to do it for publicity. I feel he just made some poorly informed comments without any intent to insult the victims or their families.

    It was stupid and insensitive yes, but he doesn't deserve to become a hate figure for it.

    his comments about Spurs are disgraceful to.

    If he said that on the BBC he would be waving goodbye to all those panel shows that seem to be his whole life.
