Very interesting interview, also the one with Paul Bittar

The one thing this highlights is the need for a global agreement on drugs being administered to racehorses in training. If this had happened in Australia for example it would be legal.

There are huge extrapolations being made here. There is absolutely no reason to believe that Zarooni wasn't at the heart of this and that he has destroyed a lot of innocent people's lives and reputations. We don'yt know enough at the moment. I'm sure there is more wrongdoing elsewhere, but let's hold fire until we know.
I worked in a business where we had this wonder boy parachuted in to a senior commercial position. It was obvious to some of us that the man was a total liability and dangerous. Raising this with senior people I was told I did not know what I was saying. It soon became obvious that someone higher in the organisation for some unknown reason really rated this wonder boy. That that was happening made other senior people fall in line not wanting to upset these more senior people. Before you knew where you were the business was going tits up and they were still defending this idiot. It had to get where huge millions were wiped off our profitability before anyone questioned what had happened. This was a big corporation. But the same thing could happen in Godolphin. People may have turned a blind eye. But it doesn't mean the organisation is bad or the business is bad. There are plenty of people out there willing to take a short cut. Management failed for us it looks like it failed for Godolphin.
