Apart from the one example you offered of him winning back the ball and cutting it back, he has been well below what I would consider an 'acceptable' standard. An acceptable standard is somewhere near to how he performed last season. He really hasn't been anywhere near that, partly down to making sure he doesn't get injured so he can make the move this window.

I went to watch the Rochdale game and Diame was outstanding, he offered everything Jelavić hasn't since the start of the season.

For a player as expensive as him, for us in the Championship he would need to a) Perform like last season b) Play in 80-85% of our games 37 games. Which given his injuries and application I really couldn't see it happening.

Perhaps his application might have something to do with the obvious messages from the manager about who he wants here and who he doesn't. You've named Diamé as a comparison, remarkably in a game that Jelavic was a forgotten soul; maybe not just Jelavic with an agenda? Like I said, best for both parties, but not the fault of one. This has not been a good transfer window by any means. What about the other player's performances, should we get rid of them too, have the new lads been a huge mistake? (comments on here might make you think so)
Anyway, you have your way, I am sure Slaven Bilic is clueless, he wants a player with dicky knees to perform in the PL (where he has previously) when you think he can't cut it in the Chumps after how many games?
He is going to a higher standard, for more money, to play for a manager who is making it clear he values him and wants him. Hiding behind attitude and form is really piss-poor.

It did, but it followed several other posts this week where I stated there was only one player that the club were actively seeking to get rid of due to his attitude and that was Jelavic.

If you didn't see the other posts, then I can see why you might think I was just making assumptions and taking a pop at him on the back if them, but that wasn't the case.

I'm doesn't change the fact that, before whatever you posted, a large portion of posters were jumping on players backs making these wild assumptions with absolutely no substance.

He'll be largely going to make up the numbers. Look at their squad already! It's not like West Ham can't afford a gamble on a player who has repeatedly said he only wants to play in the PL.

You seem to be ignoring the fact that Jelavić had informed Bruce he didn't want to
play in this league. I'm sure it's on a radio clip somewhere that Bruce confirms this. It's also likely he wasn't motivated by his salary reduction.

We'll probably see the Jelavić of old for West Ham - motivated by his PL income. Though how much game time he gets will be interesting to see.

He clearly can perform in the Championship, but he clearly doesn't want to. I rated Jelavić, but it is better he and we move on. I wish him all the luck at the Hammers.

I haven't ignored it, as I recall more than one player being reported as saying that, but, as I said, how hard have we worked to keep him - I would guess not one single bit, so it should not surprise us that he wants away and is not going to make much of an effort to stay.

I've heard Bruce say too much about his players; I wonder how Thudd will feel about staying?
