I know that it's just wikipedia, but on Hull City AFC's squad list, Hope Akpan has been given squad number 39. However on the OWS, he hasn't been listed. Wonder if we will see him soon?

havimg seen him play twice now, when the loan quota allows in a matchday squad, and as soon as this media led play-off 'dream' is finally put to bed, i am certain he will get a chance to prove a point for next season.

Did Everton actually release him then? I thought we only had him on loan.

It said in one article he was a star of the future, can't be that good if they have just let him go.

we have him on loan with an agreed fee to buy, if we want him..

and we shouldnt just think he's crap because everton let him go, look at stewart & chester. they are probably 2 of our best players and man-u let them go for 300k or so.

Apparently, Everton are skint and are looking to move on several of their academy players.

Akpan arrived with David Amoo for last Saturdays game V Millwall, and brought his boots with him.....so Pearson may use him in a latter game?

It's not that I think he will be crap.

The article was on Sky sports I think. They were talking him up big style saying how he was going to be the next Viera etc. I just didn't see them letting him go anytime soon.

If it gets Harper out of the side I will take anybody.

Your comments are unfair on harper but i think he will get a run in harper's shoes before long (depending on how Mr Pearson juggles loan places in a match day squad). perhaps Swansea if Duke plays in goal! if so, that has to be a baptism of fire!!!!!
