Lascelles was being linked with a £30m+ move away to Chelsea remember.. now valued at £8m max

remember Schar too.. valued at £20m under Rafa… £5m probs now under Bruce.

Bruce is the only guy who can take a £50k classic car and actually manage to devalue it.

I guess it all boils down to the overall progress of the club. Both Lascelles and Schar have had to defend a significant amount of time more than say a top six club player and for that reason they never get a break. Rarely get much protection.

I still maintain that the position we should be looking at strengthening is CM. Which would give us more control in games and give the defenders a bit more time.
 
Lascelles has no pace but for me that's not his issue, he can't read the game, he can't organise at the back, he simply doesn't have the skills to make up for his lack of pace.

Its not like we set up in a way that requires our defenders to rush back to their defensive positions, Fernandez is almost 40 ffs and Clark is like 7ft tall. They're not the fasted blokes alive, but they can read whats going on.

What was that game last season, Lascelles was defending a corner and looked utterly bemused on how to mark his man, if Ajer can mark a man from a corner, he is a good signing.

He's better than Krafth lacelles and better on the ball than all of them with perhaps the exception of schar.

If we keep Lejeune schar and sign him it's a step in the right direction.

Unfortunately we'll let both of them go I fear

I have no idea what that meant but it sounds good.

He’s ok. Something different. But I honestly think we need a CM to replace what we are losing in Willock.

That would have been my priority!

I think he's a decent player like.. Im not fussed about how well celtic did or what league it is.. I think he's got good attributes and something we're short of

If the reports are to be true they've identified Barkley for that. But i do think a CB is a key signing.

Yes we have a lot of them, but theyre either aging or not up to it.

Hes a starter for Norway so has international experience.

Not seen him play, but my first thoughts were bollocks, he's playing in Scotland.
Can't be any good then, with that standpoint, you'd turn down VVD, Tierney, Robertson for starters.

It's easy to blame Bruce for all the ill's at the club, but, let's face it, the current crop of CBs haven't exactly covered themselves in glory.

If he signs, he deserves a fair crack of the whip.

Why blame Bruce? The numbers tell us that since he employed Jones we've been the 10th best side in the league mate.
