When Aidy Hoofroyd took over in March 2005 I was 22 (I think) and although I had been to see the Horns many times since Perryman, it was Aidy who made me realise I follow the club, his attitude after he saved us from relegation was second to none and how we battered Leeds was genius. I had a season ticket under his first 2 season's and but went to games under Taylor :smiley-finger007: , Jackett :emoticon-0118-yawn: , Vialli <doh> and Lewington :emoticon-0113-sleep beforehand.

He turned into marmite but maybe, just maybe, the peak of his career was with us, not many managers will say that at the end of their careers, if we are honest. He managed a few decent players with us too, King, Young, Henderson, Demerit and of course how could you forget Al Bangura (wasn't he deported?)

So yeah, I have good memories from his time with us. It ended with terrible form (Ahem, Ahem, not going to name any recent names here either) but I still think it worked incredibly well for a long time under his reign.

WTF is he going to do now though?

He still got Northampton to the play-offs last season. Another club will take a punt on him. It does seem strange that he can achieve success for one season only, though.

I think he deserved to be sacked with Northampton bottom of the football league.
If he was to take a job at the right club, he could be successful.
