I never said that you pay £200,000 a week but you are carrying on like you don't pay big wages when in fact you do and that's what set you apart from the rest of the Premier League except the clubs that finish above you.

My point was - the higher a team's wage bill is, the higher they finish in the PL.

You are correct about the wages aiding teams to sustain their dominance, but you bandy this fact around like it's an insult. The fact that 'some' other teams manage their clubs better than others should be applauded and aspirational to you lesser clubs.

Don't focus on the Man City model, but rather do away with the bitter jealousy, look up to Arsenal and try to emulate our success.

Good fiscal management + attractive football = 99.4% gate receipts on average throughout the whole of 2010/11.

You haven't won a trophy since 2005 and you are slowly slipping down the league table and this season are being tipped to finish 5th.

Hardly success.

So called "attractive football" = Numerous midfield "geniuses", in love with their own cleverness, trying to weave ever more complicated patterns - going around in ever decreasing circles - and achieving.....**** all!!!

Are you for real?

Success is relative and relative to the Spuds we are supremely successful.

Our continued run in the CL has bought us a decent ground whereas your continued failure has not paid for WHL to be given a decent lick of paint!
Our consistency has allowed us to attract a better quality of player than Spurs, which in turn aids us to qualify for the following CL campaign and earn even more. Can you see the pattern?

As I said earlier, drop the bitterness borne from your petty jealousies and simply aspire. It is possible for you to reach the same heady heights as us in the next 10-15 years if you really work at it.

Good luck :)

When did we start worrying about who Manchester City are signing?

Does this have any relevance to the Spurs board?

LIDL - it is my thread and I, as a spurs fan, wanted people's views on one of our rivals' new signing. As stated above, don't come here if you don't like it, but don't try to tell us what we will discuss on our own board. Who's this "we" anyway?

I agree, it's a good talking point, particularly as we were linked with Aguero a while ago. He could make the difference in terms kf winning the league for City.

Harry, I was being sarcastic. I was mocking the response a certain contributor makes if he happens to feel that a subject isn't worth discussing and wants to make his views known.

You can discuss what you like for me.

I accept that the Aguero transfer is indirectly relevant to Spurs, as it is to United too.

Apologies then, didn't spot the sarcasm!
