There are plenty of decent, lifelong Chelsea fans who would resent being lumped together with the idiots in the same way we do when it happens to us.
To me the whole problem lies with Abramovich and the belief you can just buy anything you want. Yes, he's bought them a few years of success and I suppose there'll be plenty of fans who'll be happy to have been along for the ride- but it remains to be seen what state he leaves them in when he tires of it all.
Personally, I'm sick of the great institution that was football in this country being reduced to a playground for billionaires. The sooner they get fed up and **** off the better.
Imo, of course. :)

now that's rich!

anyway, now he's said his piece I hope our lot let him get on with it. He's confirmed he's going, no need for the booing now.

He wont be there this weekend, he slagged the fans, he slagged the board and the Russian gangsters bloodstained hands tha feeds the chav's.

Rafa will be sitting on a beach drinking Russian bought pina colada's at the weekend and Chelsea will be searching for another 'interim' manager.<whistle>

don't, you're getting me all excited. I'd wait till the eve before our game at Anfield, and sack him outside the coach up there.

Dont know whats rich about it?

See fans moaning about the atmosphere at the bridge, Who creates the atmosphere? I supppose thats Rafas fault aswell?

Maybe Roman should supply Chelsea song books, microphones and Prozac to improve the atmosphere...

I know none of you like Rafa or have ever liked Rafa, but to the outside observer there is a hell of alot of foot stamping and toy throwing going on among the Chelsea fans.

But the anger is directed at the wrong person!

Typical, but if he is still in charge at Chelsea when the Anfield game comes around he'll be welcomed with open arms by us.<laugh>

Sorry, I do get a bit wound up by the attitude to Rafa.

But I agree with you, parting company is best for both parties.

Hopefully respect will be given until the seperartion takes place.

I thought it was a foregone conclusion he wasn't staying anyway, Drogs? I reckon people will just boo him even more until he's gone and then blame him for everything.
As I said earlier, I sympathise with genuine Chelsea fans who just want the best for their club and the problem, for me, lies with the owner.
Why he even took Rafa on is beyond me, surely even he could have seen it would be a PR disaster with the fans?

That would only clearly demonstrate the childishness of a majority of Plastic supporters and c complete lack of class in and around their club.

Id love it if Roman followed him out of the door and took his money to some more appreciative fans.

Chelsea completely forgotten what is important and have spent the last four months tantruming and chucking their toys out of their prams

Yeah fancy us being annoyed at a club legend, who one us our first and only Champions League trophy along with the FA Cup after just a few months in charge, being sacked at the first run of bad results and having him replaced with an an ex-Liverpool manager who publicly criticised us, said he would never manage us and took his team from title contenders to sixth place and a fourth consecutive trophyless season in his final year in charge.

I thought Roman is criticised for the way he treats and sacks managers? Yet now we're to blame for also criticising him for doing this? Make up your mind.

Di Matteo was a ****e manager anyway. Chelsea were the worst team in each knock-out tie they played, and indeed the final, in the CL.

Yes, they scored enough to qualify through each time, but anyone who thinks allowing Barca 30 odd shots on target over two legs is part of some grand game plan is kidding themselves. It wasn't good defending, or 'containing' or 'counter-attacking'. The fact is, it was Barca who knocked themselves out. Same goes for Napoli not scoring more when they won 3-1 in the last 16.

Di Matteo didn't seem to employ any discernible tactics, but Chelsea somehow kept getting results. Under Rafa they're playing better football, but aren't getting the results. He's had the opposite luck to Di Matteo. As did AVB.

Or we actually had quality players, along with a greater amount of mental strength and experience than our opponents which helped us secure it. And like every other team who ever won, a bit of luck was involved. Di Matteo won in 2 and a half months what Benitez won at Liverpool in six years. Wonder who's the shite one here.

So this so called Legend who brought you this success was such a genius was he? His percentage win record is only SLIGHTLY better than Rafa's; as has been said before his strategy was obviously lacking in the CL last season (luck had a greater effect), and he almost lost the Cup Final to 1 player in less than 15 minutes! Yet idiots boo a seasoned manager who had no part in his predecessor's departure. And you wonder why we believe you to be idiotic!

Aint seen or read any 'Abramovich Out' stories or seen any anti-Abramovich banners at the Bridge, It wasn't Rafa who sacked fans favourite RDM it was the Mad Russian, so why blame Rafa for taking a job that was offered to him by Rasputin?

Don't be such a halfwit dave, he is booed because he is detested by Chelsea fans. Same way you'd boo an ex-united manager if he'd slagged off Liverpool prior to his appointment.

No, Barca had 30 odd shots on target against you. That's the bare bones of it. You didn't plan for that to happen. You're lucky they only scored 2.

How can you possibly put that down to 'mental strength and experience'? It was your team's experience that made Messi hit the bar with the penalty, was it? Or was it his own profligacy? Was it your mental strength that meant the only scored 2, or their poor finishing?

I admit we were very lucky in our final against Milan. We had 10 or so minutes of the 120 and somehow managed to score 3.

Once again nobody is booing Rafa because he took the job, it's because we loathe him.

Our board have received plenty of stick too btw so don't believe all the press say.

Got to be Jose back to the bridge? Really don't know who else would come in knowing how the door revolves so quickly?

When did I say he was a genius? Your words, not mine. If his percentage of win records is better than this "seasoned manager" then he can't be all that bad, can he? He's still a young manager and is still learning the game so had done more than alright up until the point he was sacked. His record this season did include victories away against Arsenal and 5pu1s along with home and away matches against Juventus and two home matches against Trafford. Also what Cup final are you talking about that he almost lost to 1 player in 15 minutes?

Fans boo Benitez because he's a hypocrite for joining our club and because of directly criticising us fans (though since then Liverpool fans have been guilty of similar unsurprisingly). He should have mustered up the balls to explain why he's gone back on his word instead.

Because he said he would never join us, had made it clear he doesn't like us and that we don't like him. So why not have the decency to decline the job offer? Surely if he is that good he can find another job.
