coming up 58 - not long for my bus pass! might venture in to Southampton then - certainly wouldn't pay to go there! I got lost there once and the car broke down. Managed to find a phone and a chippy and waited for the AA. On looking around I saw lots of red lights and discovered I was on the famed Derby Road - that was a real eye-opener. I think that was the last time I was in the city. Apart from the cruise ships and one of the other Hampshire footy teams I really don't know what would cause me to go back. Channon?
Calkit, you just happened to find yourself in Derby Rd? And you broke down? Well, it does put a lot of pressure on the cooling systems if you drive at very, very slow speeds for a long time! Why weren't you enjoying the 300 acre Common with it's varied wildlife, right in the city centre, or visiting the many Museums which celebrate the City's rich and varied history? You go hanging around that part of town you will likely catch more than a taxi!
I always lie about my age. (29) I entertained a long queue in a bank once - whilst trying desperately to remember what d.o.b. I'd given in the first place.
As I post this (1st thing on 11/6) it looks like (going by the poll results) it's the "Young Guns" of Southampton [over 50% under 30] against the "Old Farts" of Portsmouth [over 50% over 40]. Now then, what is it about respecting your elders and betters?
Have you just got in from the nightclub LF or do you have a weak bladder that keeps you up! Guess I'm slacking. Can someone tell me why Hants cricket team is doing so well at the twenty over game but dreadful in the four-day.
Calkit re: Hampshire CC Answer: They get bored easily with 4 day game.. AND they were very annoyed at having 2 points deducted before they even got started ?? so they knock hell out of the ball at 20/20 Great to watch though. Devon Too old to keep counting but I am as old as I feel and I am feeling great things these days:
