Derby (a) next season. We'll secure a play-off place!

I don't want to even get into calling this. I just know my breathing will return to normal if we can beat Brighton. Ever the optimist about playing LFC (based on no reality, of course), I'm hopeful that nerves will get the better of them and we'll get a point.

But mathematically? I think this one could go to the wire.

If we stay up it will probably come down to the Huddersfield game.
I'm fairly confident that it won't...I can see us getting at least 2 wins before then and that means Cardiff has to get three. And it wouldn't surprise me if we got three wins...and surely 4 wins for Cardiff in the remaining games is almost impossible.

I'm just going by Saints science. We never do things the easy way. Just because we beat Spurs, probably means we'll lose against Brighton and then be right back in it.

Not saying we won't have the odd fright....and we may get draws when we need a win...but I'm backing us against Cardiff. Perhaps wouldn't feel so confident if we had to play Cardiff again:mad:

The pessimist in me says Prowsey gets injured on England call up, Ings does his ACL in the warm-up for the Brighton game and we have to start scratching for goals again, but a Shane Long brace in the Huddersfield game keeps Saints up.
However, I’ll have no fingernails left .......

Trying to decide my snarkiest answer.

Maybe it's the next game against Brighton, when we get our 33rd point, more than Cardiff will end the season with.
Maybe it was the Fulham game when we went above 10/1 to go down.
Think I'll go for Man U at home when we sacked Hughes.

It all depends on when we play Watford, but I'll go for Bournemouth. Realistically, I think we'll be safe after the Wolves game.

Back on subject.....our average is a point a game. Although since Ralph it is better than that.......if we continue our average we will be safe in my opinion. Personally I think we will hit 39/40 points this year!!
