This is just for fun because it's never going to happen with someone like Parky in charge but I wonder how this team would do.

    Burge

    Gooch, Willis, Feeney, Hume

    Maguire, Scowen, O'Nien, Diamond

    Graham, Grigg

Don't get me wrong I don't really want to put Gooch in at RB but we don't have anyone to play there and I suspect he'd be roughly as good as O'Nien there, they're both scrappy buggers who are hard to get past.

I'd like to see us with two up top if one of them is Graham, he knows what he's doing there and should link up with Grigg which Grigg desperately needs if he's going to score.

I would like to see something like this, its the sort of thing that should have been tried pre-season, the problem with it is that you need someone with vision who can see past his nose end, we dont have that in the current set up. The season started to go wrong with the selections for the cup games, the results were irrelevant and the chance to try something inclusive was lost forever as far as I am concerned. Parky's thinking was exposed in those games and contradicted his press statements he lost me at that point and I cant see him being the man to take this club any further than the play off lottery, we have lost two years already and despite us having the best balanced squad since relegation we are still far from being well prepared or organised.

It's the long ball tactics too isn't it, never works even league one defenders can deal with long balls. It's a shame that he didn't take anything seriously from the 8-1 drubbing apparently that didn't impress him much.

Before that Villa game I wrote a few words to the extent that even if we won 10-0 or 20-0 the game was irrelevant as Parky's intentions were clear and his words were false, the team was set in stone, or more accurately concrete from day one, I did not post it, thinking it was too negative and went along with the optimism generated by performances of the new signings and Neil, Diamond and Scowen. Even going close to snatching a win in the last few minutes with 10 men would not have papered over Parkys ineptitude for long, just like Jack Ross he has to go and the sooner the better imo.
