After promotion, player you've missed the most?

Simpson and Perchino were both given a bit of stick but turned out to be quite reliable and always gave their best.

Perchino was always prepared to play anywhere too.

I don't think anybody would suggest swapping either of them for Debuchy though.

 

I'd have Simpson over Santon.

 

Debuchy is a far better full back. Nothing against Simpson though, he had many more good games than bad games. I reckon people just miss his commitment which says more about the current crop than it is does him. Saying that, Debuchy has that same desire and never stops trying. He has on occasion lost his rag and got petulant, but I'd rather that, than the emotionless stop trying attitude of some others. At least he gives a ****.

 

Xisco. Anyone still remember his legendary sublime defence-splitting through ball for Carroll?
