I really hope not. We came so close to an agreement there.

Obviously don't want Iran to have nukes but can you blame anyone for wanting nukes? Look at North Korea. They can do whatever the hell they want without fear because they have nukes. Who wouldn't want that sort of safety net.

Probably remind them that they've just supplied them with enough weapons and cash to fund a war in a small country...

Well it was supposed to be for the Afghan Army but turned out it was actually all for the Taliban.

Kind of like a 'pass the parcel'.

ISIS K are the 11th ISIS group after ISIS A to J.

Unfortunately that does mean there are another 15 to go. I reckon ISIS X which is being designed by Apple will be the best.

They hate everyone tbf Comm <laugh>

Leave 'em to it I say. I actually think you give them the space to go through the blood letting like we did back in the Reformation and at the end of it they'll come out the other side having made more progress than anything we could've imposed on them.

This whole thing stinks. I've watched a lot about Pol Pot, and how he slaughtered a 1/3 off the people, while everyone watched..

I think the one thing in all this that I have thought about, is Biden's comments about not leaving this problem for another future president, not passing it on.

Those comments give me cause for concern, in asking if he understood the full complexities of what he was doing. Biden is way older than me, he's 78, so you could probably count on one hand, how many years he's got left, especially with the onset of dementia.

What I mean by the above is he doesn't care, like me, he knows he's getting close to leaving this world, and my thoughts are does that make you a rational enough person to think through the consequences of his decisions.

He even boasted the fact that no Americans had died in the last 18 months, so it don't make it unreasonable for me to assume, he didn't think any would die either in departure.

I think America has gone from a complete MadMan (Trump) to one whom I would suggest does not have enough marbles to think through what he is doing. He can't even remember the names of people around him, that serve him.

He keeps saying, I'm responsible, it's all down to me, is that the word of a man with good morals or a man who's on deaths door, i'd probably suggest both, and 13 American soldiers are dead because of it, and countless civilians.

He did a drone strike in retaliation, wow big deal, you got a master planner, that makes it ok then.

I think it's worse than that mate. Much wider than Biden. It shows the state of affairs 'merica is in that they couldn't find one man better than Biden or Trump in both the main political parties.

They seem to have a bunch of senile old farts who keep turning up every few years like turds in a toilet bowl. You see the same old faces hanging about in positions of power in the Senate and Congress. Nobody of any character seems to exist. And the state of politics in the country is ALL about sinking to the lowest common denominator.

I also think the ignorance of americans is largely exploited by the way politics is presented in their news media and it's no surprise they are where they are right now.

I think one of the biggest problems with America is that is all Americans understand. How many of the 300+ million population actually travel, outside of America. It part explains what I hate about a one union ideology. The decisions made were based on one mould and that's to appease 300m Americans.

Yet they don't have to live with the consequences of this, Europe does. Ok they've taken some refugees but their land mass is huge and it's a drop in the ocean, I read in the Los Angeles Times, they could easily take in 150,000 Afghans, have they even reached double figures?

I expect after all this is over it will be left to the UK and Europe to pick up the pieces.

I was watching a documentary about Biden. I'm watching the bloke in his prime IN THE EARLY 1970's. He was actually going for the presidency then. It's 2021 and they honestly can't find someone better? I'm sure that the people on the ground are very competent, but the leadership lets them down.

I agree about Americans travelling. Each State is like a country in itself and very few seem to know what's going on outside theirs, let alone the country. Before internet they had one national newspaper - USA Today. You'd think with social media and global news things would open up and they'd become more aware of what's going on in the world, but it's incredible they are still kept in the same state of ignorance by the way social media also seems to be controlled over there.

Regarding the refugee situation, we'll probably disagree somewhat but it's not the thing I'm most concerned with atm. I'm sure you're right about many ending up in Europe. I reckon an even larger proportion will end up in surrounding countries like Tajikistan, Turkey, Pakistan and India. Everyone will have to deal with it.

But how many are realistically going to get out? Whoever's managed to get out by now have got out, but once the last plane takes off, that's it. Yet there's millions in Kabul alone who'll have to carry on. They're not getting out, so fck knows what the future holds for them.

He wasn't eligible to run for US President in the 70s. He wasn't old enough.
The first that he was old enough for was 1980 and he ran in 1988.

Sorry that was worded wrong, I wasn't trying to join the two things. He was Senator in the early 70's. Unrecognisable to what he looks like now. I just find it pretty **** that election after election we have blokes from back then ending up being the main candidates now.

He was incredibly young as a senator, funnily enough. Been in the game a very, very long time.
Seems bizarre to have someone running the country that's past retirement age.
It's a very demanding job and seems to age everyone that does it badly, apart from the last bloke.
Largely because he didn't do anything and slept through most of it, while stealing money.

Yeh but it's not just him. And many are decent people imo (except the last bloke obv). But it seems to be all old men - people like McCain who I rated, Bernie Sanders as well, Bob Dole, Mitt Romney to name a few. Where is the politics and leadership being driven by a younger generation?
