I saw them loading that plane (or a plane) on TV, I couldn't be arsed at the time, but your observations are correct, there were more men boarding than women and kids. Despite women and kids still being on the ground not far from the plane.

Being serious for a second, that plane should surely be full of pregnant women or mothers with children. I did hear they were evacuating those who had helped allied forces though so maybe that is them lot. Poor ****s.
