But it was because of Valley's info that Tobes was already effectively hung. I'd have been more suspicious if Valley hadn't voted for Tobes after saying he was non-town.
Basically Tennisball said he (Tobes) might be Cartel and then everyone decided we'd better vote for him to stop him being able to recruit. It quickly went from opinion to fact without anyone really thinking about it. I think it may have been because Valley said he was non-Town, rather than mafia, even though that's the only reading he gets.
No, to be fair to MITO he said he was NOT investigating you as the Tobes result would prove you as a townie.

There is an awful lot of stuff happening during night time that's more than mafia team action as someone killed Gerrez weirdly and changed valleys result.
Maybe the mafia's secret power is silencing a player with a role. Which means nobody can actually come out and dispute what MITO is saying as they've silenced the drunk investigator? And even if we did follow his instructions and vote for Tennisball and he was lynched as town wouldn't he just claim his info is only 66% accurate and he can't be held responsible for that?

Why would MITO encourage you to investigate him when he knew the answer would finger him as Mafia.
Did he expect a flipped result and it went wrong?
If he was Mafia he would know you weren't getting killed so he knew your result would come out.
Was he gambling that you thought he'd be killed and you'd investigate someone else?
The bit about him knowing you would investigate him and not killing you confuses me though - why would the Mafia kill Gerrez and not you?
