Welcome to the town of Methville!
Methville is a border town between the US and Mexico. Once a peaceful town it's more recently known for mafia activity. They skulk in the shadows, masters of deception, you never know what to expect with the mafia around. But the Cartel are moving into town looking for a slice of the lucrative meth market. The town will need to work together and use there heads if they are to stop there beloved Methville being over-run by scum.

The Rules:
· The game will run on 24 hour rounds. Start time is 10am Wednesday. Night will fall at 9pm each night
· Roles will be randomly assigned. Roles will be passed to participant by the forum conversation system. Be ready to get a PM, be sure to check before 10am and keep checking
· ONLY those on assigned teams can communicate privately, no other private communication between participants is allowed. Mafia can strategize via pm as much as they wish and communicate findings
· Role specific actions are communicated to games master by PM up to 9pm each night, you miss the time you don’t get you action.
· No PMs of any type are allowed to be published. If you get one you cannot use it as proof or you will be removed from game.
· Public forum is used to vote IN BOLD for who the town will lynch. Accusations, discussions and all sorts are permitted. Vote changing and re-changing is perfectly fine. You can claim anything you want at any time. Assume bad guys will be doing this as strategy. A simple majority vote is required to lynch. Someone must be lynched each day
· Once a participant is lynched they get ONE free eulogy post where they can say I told you so and no more. Do not post any game related comments to influence the play.
· Posts that hurt the game will be deleted (by a nice mod hopefully!)
Win conditions are:
o Mafia win when they are majority team left in game or it is inevitable this will occur.
o Cartel win when they are majority team left in game or it is inevitable this will occur.
o Serial killer wins if all other players are dead
o Townspeople win when all bad guys are wiped out.
Additionally:
You will not know every action available in the game, some information will only be revealed to certain roles or mafia/cartel. So keep an open mind.
Once you are dead, you are dead, please do not post in the thread or like comments, I have set up a private board for dead people to discuss the game and I will PM you the link when you die. I know it's rubbish to die but try and let the game progress, it will be difficult enough with so many players to keep track without dead people getting involved! Thanks!
Play in the spirit the game is meant, it's a bit of fun! And bare with me as it's my first time hosting and a rather large game. I've done my best to keep it balanced but interesting!
I maintain the right to give any of you Ebola for pissing about resulting in a missed vote or death. My decision is final!
The Roles:
Mafia
There are 3 members of the mafia.
2 Hits - The mafia will start with two hits. At what intervals and the method of kill is only known to the mafia.
Mafia will have a hidden action.
Cartel
The Cartel start with 1 member, Pablo. Pablo must build his Cartel by recruiting new members. He will recruit a maximum one person each night. When Pablo dies the Cartel can no longer recruit.
When someone is recruited they become a standard Cartel member and lose any previous role.
Solo Team
Serial Killer - one of the townies will be assigned to become the serial killer. When certain criteria are met the town member will receive a PM activating there role. Until this point they will not know they are the serial killer.
The Town
Detective - the detective can investigate one person each night by sending a PM to me. The detective will learn whether the target is mafia, cartel, has a role or is a normal town person. The detective is always on the lookout and may receive further information beyond his investigations.
Doctor - the doctor can protect one person each night, but cannot protect the same person on two nights running.
Psychic - the psychic spends his time studying the mystic and is able to read the aura of other town members. The psychic can choose to investigate one person each night but will only receive a town, or non-town read.
Town Drunk (Alcoholic PI) - once upon a time a great detective with a bright future but after falling to the bottom of a bottle and losing his job he started his own private investigation service. The only problem is, he hasn't put down the bottle. He can investigate one person each night but with blurry vision will only get a correct investigation 2/3 times. Bumbling drunk, or town saviour?
The Meth Head - he's on the meth. Hard. Paranoid and tweaking out his supply will only last a day. The meth head will kill one person per night from day 2.
The schizophrenic - he's always got on well with the voices in his head but with all the commotion in town he just doesn't know how he will act. The schizophrenic can choose one target each night. He will randomly either kill, investigate, protect or take no action towards his target.
The town has one hidden role. And an additional 7 regular townies.
Non-Aligned Roles
The Rambler AKA Obi - the rambler cannot vote for the lynch, cannot be voted to be lynched but can be killed by the serial killer or mafia. If the Cartel try to recruit the rambler he will be killed. The Rambler is not a bad guy or a good guy and may choose to contribute constructively to the town or get in there way. Mischief is the word.
How Nightfall will work:
A clear order of events occur at night.
1. The lynch mob will haul their target out of his house and execute him
2. The mafia will act
3. The cartel will act
4. The Serial Killer will act
5. The meth head will strike
6. The schizophrenic will act
7. The investigations will occur.
8. The morning report will be published outlining what’s gone on.
