He sounds like a massive twat.

    He'll fit right in.

The last edit of his wiki was a revert of an anon edit with the comment "removed unsourced claim about documents proving innocence" . lol

He's really not. Look at how old he was during the escape at Aldershot and the breach of the companies act: 19 and 22 respectively. Totally unfair to tar someone based on what they did 20 years ago when they were young.

Guy is really getting it in the neck from the 'prima-donna' fans. His league rate to date is:

    15 league games played:

    5 x losses

    5 x draws

    5 x wins

Not a bad statistic for this stage of the season 33% wins.

For the sake of continuity, Pompey must persevere with Guy.

Let's face it, I really can't see the likes of Neil Warnock coming to Fratton Park without the promise of any money to spend on players !

Guy is still learning the trade, so hopefully he can only improve.

From what I've seen so far this season, PFC are a big scalp to have, and opposition teams like AFC Wimbledon are well prepared, realising for example that if they can stop the likes of Andy Barcham or Rickie Holmes, by legal or illegal means, they can affect our way playing.

The trouble is we aren't prepared for the "roughhouse" tactics of other teams, hence the frustration by our players, and the number of red cards we have suffered already this season, many for somewhat obvious retaliatory fouls from sheer frustration on the original perpetrators.

As 3rd eye (and others) have said on numerous occasions, Guy does need urgently, the sevices of an experienced right hand man who is not afraid to lambast the players when required (after every match at the moment) to improve their performances individually, and as a team.

This would equate to 61 points in the season- not enough for the playoffs, but a steady top half finish.

As we've ben reminded recently [3rd eye I think] we have a team of rejects; players who have been released by League One or League Two clubs because they're not considered good enough for those sides. In that respect, we should be grateful to Guy and the training team for moulding these outcasts into a side that can [comfortably <phew>] keep us out of the Conference!

it was me who made the comment regarding rejects and players sourced out of contract etc etc.......and i totally agree with the rest of you post as i do wooperts as well.

There is too much expectation............survival and stabilisation is what's required, steer a steady ship to safety and progress......slowly but surely......

So the rematch is here, and a lot of changes have occured for Pompey in the time since. Anyone going? What's the weather like? Seeing as Pompey Ladies' game has again been postponed, I may go to this game, weather permitting.

We are playing Mansfield Town at FP tomorrow, Lapras - not AFC Wimbledon <ok>

Hopefully, new striker Jake Jervis will be making his Pompey debut.

Weather on the Isle of Wight still raining, presume the same over in Portsmouth ?

Apparently, PFC have said they have no plans for a pitch inspection, so the pitch must be o.k. Hope so, as looking forward to the match.

    Whoopsie-daise.

AFC Wimbledon was on my mind as I plan to take my nephew to his first ever Portsmouth game (and first ever domestic football game, he's been to one England game and that'sit) for the AFC Wimbledon game.
