I still think we need more men in the squad though! Yes I believe in developing youth but there is times when you need men in the team/squad. IMHO

    Dyche out now..awful result.

    ;)

    (Just jesting)
    ...
Things to work on clearly which is no bad thing and there is time to get players in still.

I'd be more concerned had we lost 4-0 or something and produced nothing.

You're quite right Al, and we just don't have enough of them unfortunately..though we've definitely improved from last season on that front..just not enough...we're lightweight, and it's not going to help...

I don't think losing this match has any cause for concern, we have to think long term rather than losing a preseason friendly (if there is such a thing<laugh>) It is all about match and individuals fitness at this time.

He does, not going to be easy to pull himself up though. He needs a good performance in the pre-season..it's not his fault if he has nothing to do!

I see Elixir noted that we still pull everyone back for corners!, (not good imo)

Spot on H, but not game time for us! He looks good when doing nothing, but not good when called upon.

Generally I thought we were reasonable, but not robust. We didn't retain the ball from the front. Is Iwe our only forward who can hold the ball? Deeney disappointed again, he had excuses last season that he wasn't fit bcos he was signed so late, but he was played wide for the majority of the game and was poor.

Eustace and Taylor our MoM, yeates and Sordell had their moments, but too many "average" performances, not enough "game changers".

Dyche didn't seem very impressed at all..interesting change of approach in terms of coming out in public and giving criticism to the team (but not OTT) from the way Malky would handle the press after a defeat.

I know we don't always have a great pre-season, and i'm still feeling up about how we'll do, but...today has dented that slightly. SD seems to have played our first team (apart from Gilmartin). He tried a few things but didn't do a complete change...perhaps we just don't have the options and obviously we don't have as much strength as some other teams will have...so what we don't have in strength, we'll have to make up for in skill...i think this will be a big ask...

Not posted for a while but I am concerned. Pretty unimpressed with the quality we have brought in and although we needed more steel in the team I feel we have lost too much creativity and goalscoring potential from the squad.

We have spent less than a tenth of our income this summer and the players we have brought in do not fill me with any confidence. Sorry for the negativity but unless the kids come through strong this year we will struggle.

We will be ok mate I\m sure there will be 3 worse teams than us in the final reckoning!, we still have 2 more permanent signings and 2 loanees to bring in according to Uncle Baz! , We will wait to the end of the window to grab another bargain like big Chris most probably! I can see Weimann coming back ! who knows what else SD and Mr Wilson have planned , we aint down yet!!! Keep the Faith N8tive!:)

Hi Norway, still time for more business as you say. As things stand we look bottom 6 but i hope SD is able to attract some creative players to accompany his 'men'
