Agree. I would rather he stick to his principles. Obviously that will get challenged if they get relegated but media spin things how they want anyway lol ie us and zonal marking.
Mane yes but the Firm one not sure i agree with you as i think trying to square the ball with his stride pattern would have been difficult . Added to which the gain/risk percentage was more in his favour than the Mane situation. As a general point though agreed and just watch Man City for selfless forward play & the results it can bring.
Their form is nowhere as good as when they beat us 4-3. From the first 5 minutes of the game we were all over them. They were still trying their passing game, making lots of errors all over the pitch and surrendering possession in dangerous areas of the pitch to us. A more experienced manager would have changed the system seeing that it was leading to disaster but he seemed unable or unwilling to change. Would someone like Klopp or Mourinho or any experinced manager not decided that it would be better to sit back and defend rather than face certain defeat? Howe said afterwards that his players were really flat and full of mistakes. Klopp said afterwards that we were the complete package. yes, the team had a great game but what we need are wins when we are not playing that well.
me too and all Liverpool fans. But seriously I doubt Bournemouth fans enjoyed the battering they received yesterday and certainly won't thank him if they get relegated. I and most fans are all for entertaining football but against a top team sometimes you have to work out how best to get a point. What they did yesterday, passing from the back was not going to work when our players were pressing hard against their defenders and forcing mistakes. So why not kick the ball upfield and clear the danger?
I think he never saw coutinho TBH so if you can't see the guy then it'd be a blind ball and you'd look stupid i suppose. mane deffo looked up and say ox and chose to run on. it was a piss easy pass.
I listened to it on Radio 5 live. Terry Butcher was virtually ****ing off describing the quality of our football. In other news, did you see Jonny Peacock getting his third place award on SPOTY? He got onto the stage with a huge grin on his face and said whilst shaking Kenny's hand "This is just fantastic. Legend!". Apparently, he's a massive Red
Ben Foster came in the second half to reignite and motivate the players like last year and it failed to work.
do you remember Tanni Grey-Thompson getting an award only to find the BBC forgot to ramp the podium where the presentation was to take place
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain played his best game for Liverpool yesterday. Sky made him the man of the match.
Very smart of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain cleverly defending Countinho. Sky wanted to put words in Countinho's mouth. I love it.
Thought Robertson looked like a proper left back last night. Wish Clyne would hurry up back and we can put Gomez in with Lovren or Klavan too. Thought Hendo played better too. God though, we'll miss Ford in the summer - hope we can win a cup for him.
I answered it last nite lol. It was suarez and sturridge in 13/14 the season we scored more than 100 goals I think.
Think they just had a bad day at the office. Tbh that to me is the difference between Jose & Pep. Jose will put out a team with a plan against the opposition. Pep has his style and no plan B as he has total faith in his system. Howe was definately unwilling to change. I hope they dont go down as like watching Bournemouth. Think they will win enough games with their style but they will always be susceptible to a stuffing. I would say Klopp would not have altered his system, he may however, have pushed his goalie into CM to surprise the oppo. Jose would defo make the change.
I think 70% of Bournemouth problems are bad buys. I think they have become even more in consistent season by season If you compare and contrast with Burnley, dyche is very rigid really, hes defensive but hes got his dignjngs right mostly. Howe has tried to go young, go English league and tbh it's not great. He is probably the better footballing style and maybe coach but hes just not a clue about the level of talent.
