It just so happens that in a couple of weeks it is our firm's annual Christmas bash. It bit late you may say but better late than never I say.
However, I have just been informed that its at........ST FAIRIES !!!!!!! <yikes> Now I'm not one to let a night of free drinks, food and frivolity go lightly, so I'm going to be on the bus. I have decided I must wear my beloved teamshirt below whatever else I'm wearing to ward off any evil spirits. Are there any other items or advice fellow Pompeyites can offer I should be taking or be heeding that night? A large black felt pen could be of some use in the bogs I suppose!

Blue pen would be more fitting but i like your thinking. I wrote 4 - 1 in resturant toilets somewhere in scum before. Also continously hum "4 1 in your own backyard". I do that whenever I go there. Done it when they were at home to Blackpool.

Been there for functions a few times Devo - great food. The atmosphere in the Mick Channon Suite is far better than in the ground itself, when they are playing <laugh>

Don't touch the pies - most of them are reserved, and have Rickie's name on them.

Stick to the Blue Nun wine if you are drinking - dont go for the Red Stripe beer, it tastes like gnats pee.

Other than that, try not to talk to the natives, or make eye contact with them.

Hope this helps.......... <cheers>

Consider yourself honoured and privileged FFD. And don't abuse Senor Cortese's hospitality, otherwise you might find yourself being thrown off the Itchen bridge with a slab of concrete chained to you...

Don't forget to take your camera and preserve those wonderful memories of a happy day :)

I'm sure the barman will mix you up a Blue Hawaiian or a Blue Lagoon.

If you must go remain seated or keep your back to the wall and don’t drink any alcohol so that you do not need to use the toilets that would be full of the native bandits in their pink shirts.

Woopert, I am familiar with Blue Nun, from my late teenage years when it was the height of sophistication at a party. Worth pointing out that only the label was blue, so once served you are advising Mr Funkdaddy to walk around with a glass of white wine, or should I say a glass of 8% abv sugar water.
Fratton Park could not be used, as you are unlikely to get an entertainments licence for a Registered Ancient Monument without applying for a change of use permission and I doubt that you would persuade the authorities to permit anything entertaining to happen at Fratton Park.
I hope that FFD has a super evening as a guest of SFC and can put any worries about it behind him.

Oh, that's a nice pic, Devo. Is that the Paint Pot which was on the special offer, pay for 1 litre, get 4 litres free?

Oh, no, wait a minute. That was the shiny cup most recently in your trophy room! < laugh>

Oh Fodder! Did'nt quite happen that one did it? I will seek out the trophy cabinet to gaze in wonder just like I was at the Nou Camp <laugh> ...or Fratton Park for that matter. I'd only have to go 20 miles down the road to find Silverware in abundance. <ok>

Channon, don't you go upsetting English Heritage, with your shocking comments about our facilities. Some people prefer "rustic" to "plastic" <laugh>
