I need a bit of advice from any Londoners. I'm moving down to the London area for work and I'm trying to decide where to live. I've seen a few flats in the Bromley area that are in my price range http://www.alandemaid.co.uk/forsaleoffice/Bromley/692 but I don't know much about the area. Anyone from/live there? I'm originally from Grimsby and live in the North so not familiar with the area really so would appreciate any info? Or suggestions of other areas to look?

We don't want any northern riff-raff down here, thank you very much <ok>

Don't ask Toby about property, he spends his nights wandering about looking for sheltered surfaces that don't have wee metal spikes sticking out of the ground.

I wish. My old flat in Hackney was worse than that.

If Bromley's in your budget then go there. I don't want you around north west london though as I have met quite a few people from Grimsby and they've all ****stains. Oh and if you're a fisherman then i hope you drown.

Hackney is a ****hole?

You live in South London jonno, the whole place is a dump that should be carpet bombed.

I'm sure if the OP could afford houses in the price range on the links he would not be asking random strangers on a football chatroom for advice.

Another ****ing Walter Mitty.

He said flats and there are a few on there £150k ish.I've been to Grimsby and M-in-Law lived in Bromley.I know which I prefer.Give me Sandchomper country any day.Fewer Ragheids for a start.

If you don't mind putting up with some anal invasions from time to time get yourself a tent and live on Hampstead Heath. Nice well to do neighborhood, good views and all down hill to the city. <ok>

Why Bromley?

Funny someone named Archers should ask.

Someone told him it was the best place to purchase archery equipment because as everybody knows, you go to Bromley to buy bows.....Bromley buy Bow...buy... Geddit...

Never ****ing mind.

Black your face up, speak with a foreign accent, tell em you're escaping the authorities in bongo bongoland because you're a murderer and rapist, and you'll get a luxurious pad and 500 notes a week<ok>

London is a ****ing dump btw <ok>

Wrong Bromley. The Bow one's in scary east, not dirty south.

I know. My "joke" wouldn't have worked otherwise.......I'm not entirely sure it works anyway. If it were the 1950's it would have gone down a storm at the Hammersmith Palladium.

Hammersmith is of course the place where the folk who put shoes on horses walk around the place with great trepidation.
