I had to get the M5 (not the motorway) fixed after my wife rearranged the front lower some 5 years ago and after I realised I was not an auto body man I decided to give it to a professional. Looks great again but he had forgotten to do the centre rib which was on the car as he was repainting the new bumper cover and to be honest why spoil the ship for a halfpence of tar etc. So to answer your question I had to get the car to him at 8:00 a.m. Mountain Time ( 3:00 p.m. your time).

I'll get back to what I do in bed in the early morning at some other time - lol.

snore?

Loved him while he was there but at 38, cant see it working if he came back- Remamber the last 40 year old keeper we signed?- Great keeper in his day,but it didnt really work

They say never go back but didn't Louis Carey "go back"

I would only want Basso back here as a back up keeper.

Old saying in life "Never go back as it will never be the same as it was before" Very true. We need Adriano Basso like we need a hole in the head.

Hang on a minute, Louis Carey? Scott Murray? Club greats most would say, brilliant ambassadors for Bristol City ... GJ just went back to Yeovil and look what happened.

Not that I want Basso back. I was ALWAYS the first to stand and scream OHHHHH BASSO, but that was almost 5 years ago. Time to move on!

Growing speculation that he is one of the 2 keepers that we will have on trial. A fan favourite when he was here but left some what of a sour taste when he left. We still to this day never know the true story of why he left, One was that he had a bust up with Johnson, Another was he thought he was better than the club. The real question is would we want him back? 38 years old now so maybe at best 2 years left in him. Me personally, I wouldn't mind him returning as a back up and if the wages are right, Would be a little disappointed if we're looking at him as a first team keeper but still love the bloke and we haven't had a chant that everyone sang since OHHHHHHH BASSOOOOOO

Thoughts?

Finally Repped been trying to rep you for a couple of days you're slipping down the charts m8

My problem with Basso is how he left us.

He was offered a great deal - I believe it would have made him the higest earner in the club - even his agent told him to sign the deal

Basso of old would be a good signing,Basso was a great keeper,i would imagine he has kept himself up together.
Sorry if he was that good he wouldn't need to have a trial here he would be signed up elsewhere he has been available on a free for ages 3 years plus and only had a couple of very short term deals which seems to show he rates himself far higher than the general footballing community does.

So would lots of former players; if we could sign players on the basis of what their abilites were in their prime, then let's really go overboard;

Gerry Gow, Paul Cheesley, John Atyeo, Mike Gibson, Jack Connor to name a few. Even the dead ones might be better than Basso!

Add Jimmy Mann, Trevor Tainton, Geoff Merrick, Gary Collier, The Tinman, Fatty Wedlock, Clive Whitehead, Alan Skirton, Bradley Orr(RB) and Bryan Drysdale that would give us the Basis of a damn good squad that might just get us into the Premiership in 2 years.

Just one more Hawk please; the Threshing Machine from Chard at left back. Quiet, hard, determined and City through and through. Not like the nambie pambies we have now.

............................Gibson
Orr..........Collier.....................Merrick.........Drysdale
Skirton......Gow.........Tinman........Whitehead
................B J Atyeo...... The Big Cheese

with the others as backup/subs think at their prime this lot would scare the pants off any opposition. Plus Hunter, Galley, Cashley, to make a squad of 18 though at their prime perhaps Hunter over Merrick.
