Like i have said before , why are we not buying a 'first choice' goalkeeper as apoposed to loaning one.
We must be the only club in the entire football league not to have a first choice goalkeeper. Before you say 'Oxley' is not our first choice . but will have to be if we dont get one.
We're signing two keepers, one on loan, one on a permanent, either is capable of playing first team football, what on earth are you whining about.

until they are signed, and only until . then i shall carry on whining. The way we go about our transfer business , its a wonder we sign anyone.

The way Hull City are going about there transfer business is perfect. No need to mention anything until its a done deal.
We had enough of The Circus style transfers with Duffer & Brown.

The way we do our transfer business is ridiculous - even more so now.
i mean everyone knew of Dungeon, adebola , mckenna , gulaci or basso - three or four weeks before they actually happened in the latter two cases if they happen. But luckily (or unluckily) no one else wanted adebola or mckenna so we were succesful. Things are no different now than under duffers/brown. next robbie Brady , who as every know we heard of weeks ago.
so no rub bish about done deals please.

No mate, everyone heard the rumours, but there were lots of others which never happened. Danns? You knew he signed, did you?

It was only when there was an official statement on the OWS that anybody knew.

And how many did we actually get that were announced by those clowns, a smaller percentage to what were seeing this time round. I think its a blessing that we have a fantastic bankroom staff and that these type of young quality, hungy players wish to come here instead of anywhere else even though they have beem touted as coming here weeks before they probably actually signed.

Personally, I like Basso and hope he'll do well enough to get a contract. He was good for Brizzle - hence his move to Wolves - always seemed to get good reviews. May be prone to eccentric errors but he has character - much needed in a keeper and something that Bo lacked.

McKechnie was a hero for me - he had character. Anyone remember the chant:
'Aye, aye, aye aye, McKechnie is better than Yashin, Waggie is better than Eusebio and ....................... are in for a thrashin'.

I guess some of the young 'uns here may not know Yashin, or even Eusebio!

Was telling some of the kids at footy about the guests we've had at Hessle Rangers Sportsmen's Dinners in the past 5 years.

    "Who's Ian St. John?"

    Bloody kids today.

Show me a goalkeeper who has not and does not make an error. Its how you learn from those errors that crucial.
