Ah makes me proud 2 of the most popular choices are Irishmen Given and Hughton which I'd agree with,I like to see Liam O'Brien getting a mention not to forget Keith Gillespie just for THAT Barcelona match.Don't forget there is 2 former Irish internationals living among you,John Anderson and Mick Martin

Hardly think playing a game and half makes him a adopted Geordie.

Well Madonna and Angelina Jolie only need to spend an hour and half in a country before they adopt.

If HBA is willing to part with hard cash like Madonna & Jolie then fine he can be a Geordie but it'll cost more than a couple mites from Somalia, there's agent fees, signing on fee's all sorts, none of it's cheap, just ask Mike & Del.

Krul, Given, Rob Lee, Killer, Jose all for me. Jonas and Colo must be getting close. Scotty Sellars probably. What a pro he was and for that free kick alone. Speedo probably too, great service and got through a sticky patch like Solano. I would possibly say Dabizas too because although he was no world beater he loved the place. The rest weren't here long enough, didn't perform or just weren't taken to our hearts. We took Tino to our hearts but I don't think you could class him as an adopted Geordie really. Actually I'd include Laurent Robert too. I can't include Temuri, he was just way too rubbish! I've never seen a professional like him again, I doubt I ever will. That game against Everton where he started with the ball on the right edge of his own box, got all the way down field, then returned back to the same place he started passing most of his teammates twice on his travels was simply the most bizarre thning I've ever seen. I seem to remember Shearer just standing shaking his head in disbelief!

    Steven Taylor is too!

But Taylor has Geordie blood, although if we're going purely by birthplace, then yes he's an adopted Geordie, like Shola.

Ned Kelly, a true adopted Geordie, and what a fantastic bloke, scored hats full of goals and then got dumped by KK before we entered the promised land (the Prem).

    Hughie Gallacher
    Supermac
    Warren Barton (centre parting)
Rob Lee (still a disgrace that only 17,000 turned up for his testimonial!)
KK (of course, half Geordie anyway, his Dad being born up here)
    Mirra
    Sir Les
    Ginola
    Beresford
    Gavin Peacock
    Darren Peackock
    Killer
    Terry Mac
    Mickey Quinn
Andy Cole probably won't get the adopted Geordie monicker, what with joining Manure etc.

and one of the greatest: Joe Harvey

Lee Clark years of service (signed as a kid) and THAT T-shirt. Would like to see him back as manager but under a different regieme - one with ambition.
Also special mention for Michael Chopra for the bravest act of blind loyalty which ultimatly cost him his stay with the unwashed.
Finally i would say O'Brien - Liam O'Brien, Andy O'Brien any any any ol' Brien really....
