Ah I see. Well its good to know that we have a big fan base around England. I think there are quite a lot of fans dotted around the world too. I know on our USA tour there were quite a few American Newcastle supporters

If he keeps up this goal ratio for his toon career and gets one of those 5 year contracts he will be <cheers>

Ahhhh the whole 2001/2 team! It must be nostalgia because that's when I fell in love with the Toon, but I still have a soft spot for players such as Andy O Brien and Aaron Hughes!

Robert is an absolute legend as well!

    This <ok>

One of the first games I saw was Mirandinha's debut.

Also has anyone mentioned Tino? The hat-trick alone makes him a life long Geordie.

On top of that the usual suspects, Rob Lee, Speedo, Robert, Given, Warren Barton & Sir Les.

I was in Spain for this game, having dinner at a restaurant owned by Real fans, who kept coming out of the kitchen with updates, I thought they were taking the piss to start off with, but they were so in love with the toon by the end of the game they invited us for drinks on the veranda whilst we watched a replay. Awesome night!

I had similar for England's 5-1 against Germany. I was at a wedding in a posh hotel on Park Lane and waiters kept coming out and telling us the score, by the end of it there was about 10 of us around a little telly in the hotel's kitchen.

I was at my Dad's third wedding (what can I say... sigh) and I had to pretend to feign an interest in all the speeches but I'd bribed a waiter to keep me updated so when I began to look ecstatic on hearing that we were winning against Barca; my Dad thought I'd been really happy with his most recent union.

He's on wife number five now by the way.

Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded? I fear the next one may outlast him.

I've not met wife number 5 yet as he got married in the States about two years ago.

I reckon he's trying to marry more than Elizabeth Taylor.
