i agree its stupid to appeal, but did i really just see you hoping YOUR CLUB, that you support punished? sorry but you shouldnt be hoping your club gets punished
If it was any other club, then I'd be calling for the FA to extend the ban, so I don't see why it should be any different because it's my club. I'm not going to be biased, just because it's my club.
I completely agree, he needs to rip into the team now and again. I have no doubt that they deserve it ffs!
Equally why not show some positivity yourself? We lost it was down to circumstance, get over it move on, get behind the team, moaning will achieve nothing.
There were no negatives until Lambert was sent off. We were brilliant in the first half and completely outplayed them. We should have been at least 2-0 up. The second half was unlucky, they had so much more space to run at us due to being down to 10 men.
There were no extenuating circumstances at all then? No provocation, no play acting, Lambo just lost it and deliberately reacted for no reason, I haven't seen the footage, so I don't know, but being a tad biased I like to look at the evidence before I hang anyone.
maybe i mis-heard, but did he say the referee is a total ****stain and had his head up his arse (maybe jut imagined it) any words why stevie was not included, as he had a gameplay but surely been on the bench
I'm not going to pretend that I perfectly saw the initial altercation, because I didn't - play had gone on, and my eyes had followed it. But out of the corner of my eye, it did look like El-Abd (who was on the floor having defended against Rickie) started grabbing Rickie's leg. For this, El-Abd should have been booked (as I've said on the Andy Durso thread). But rather than just let it go (by this time, the altercation had completely caught my eye), Rickie decided to stick his hand in El-Abd's face (which was roughly level with Rickie's waist ). That's a red card, that's a three match ban.
From where I was sitting D'Urso wasn't even looking at the incident. He went with the fact the Brighton player was on the floor and the reaction from the crowd. Fair enough if he got confirmation from the linesman, but he got the red card out straight away.
They didnt deserve it, except Lambert. They completley controlled the game untill the sending off, they wern't clinical enough or perhaps at their sharpest but we had a good goal disallowed so I think NA is within his rights to be positive. I'm back from the game and i'm annoyed but I dont have any major criticsms of the players except lambert for getting involved.
Only if he meant to stick his hand in his face. If he looked at El Abd and swung his hand into his face - thats violent conduct. If however it was an accident and he was trying to break free that is not violent conduct. There has got to be intent for it to be violent conduct.
That is a fabulous response to a bad day at the office, or maybe a bad month at the office. To hear him say "win this division" nearly made me pee my pants. Brilliant. Top man. To all you neg-heads who criticise non stop when things aren't perfect, go and stand in front of the mirror, take a long hard look at yourself and ask why isn't everyone else as perfect and wonderful as you and why you aren't in your perfect dream job.
Oh Rickie meant it. He knew exactly what he was doing. Like I say, real shame because up until then we'd played really well.
We should appeal. Was Rickies first red card in 10 years in professional football, most of it in the lower leagues getting kicked and punched every week. It proves he isn't a dirty player and his previous record has to be taken into account. He didn't elbow the Brighton player, he pushed him off him. The Sky pictures show it clearly. Greer's was a vicious elbow on Forte.
I was fuming after the result today, but listening to Nigel makes everything sooo much better. As mentioned before he does not need to say negative things over the airwaves, I don't want to hear it and nor does anyone else. Thats for him to analyse and get back to the team. I've noticed one thing from NA that he does differently to a lot of other managers and thats when he speaks to the media he is very honest, even if the ref was crap he may mention certain situations but he will never abuse the opposition or ref. Whereas, managers like Warnock and Redknapp thrive off it, they are covering themselves and pushing the blame onto certain issues which cost their team points. NA is the model manager!!
If Saints appeal and if the FA don't take into account that Lambert has played 450 games in his career before his first red card, then the FA are just as incompetant as I think they are.
Yes just watched the Adkins interview on Player and at no time did he dis Brighton, he was obviously unhappy, but rightly said, Lalanas "goal" was never in doubt, the video evidence clearly shows the ball has completely crossed the line, that in my opinion was the first turning point, no evidence to show for Lamberts incident, NA asking if anyone has any different footage, if there is none there is no way that they can lodge an appeal. Hammond says it was a nothing incident and didn't warrant a sending off, jury is still out.
I heard the post match interview and IMO Nigel was "hurting" on the inside. Obviously he didn't want to diss any of his players nor Brighton although he was clearly rattled by things that had gone on in the game (playacting??) I rate him very highly - intelligent, articulate, unlike a number of monosyllabic Premiership managers (can anyone understand Fergie or Daglish for instance??) and thorough in his preparations. I liked the way where he mentioned sitting down in the dressing room and discussing the game together. We are lucky to have him!!
