Nothing does matter though. All that's waiting for us is watching everyone around us die, have musd thrown on them and then beg for mercy when it's our turn.

I couldnt care less about the advertising, yeah it pisses me off but Ashley owns the club and theres nothing we can do about it.
 
Always find it amusing the crapness of the mackems piss-takes. For example 'sid James' Park' is that supposed to be offensive? sorry, its not. something like 'stadium of ****e/plight (delete as appropriate) is much better. :)

mmm, what else? Ah yes 'FTMs' another poor attempt to offend, sorry me unwashed urchins - just doesnt do it like 'SMBs' does it?

now the latest idea - bring some sports direct poly bags to SJP on derby day, ****ing genius! Again another failure, the only gain it would have for the SMBs would be to make them feel at home where they are used to litter blowing around their plaka stadium. Signs are much more effective my grubby inbreds, something like 'lets all laugh at sunderland or perhaps '5-1'.
 
I think Quinn will prove a bigger loss than some realise. People always say "its the players that matter", but how many clubs do we see who have a great squad but they are handicapped by poor management or poor organisation from above. Not that him leaving means all the wheels will come off, or they'll be poorly organised, I just think it'll be a hard act to follow. You can't underestimate the roles in a football club aside from players and managers.

Chelsea are a good example. They got rid of Wilkins and I don't think the unity in their squad has ever been the same. We ourselves had a good one in Moat (Chris not Raoul! haha) but once he went and Llambyarse came in all hell broke loose. Quinn is a football man and I think Sunderland will miss having the input of someone who understood the game, and more importantly Sunderland football club.
 
There's no doubt he'll be missed Pouch but to be honest his input has been diminished since he was removed as chairman - which happened to coincide with O'Neill coming in and so far it has not had a negative effect.

Bad example, Butch was involved with the day to day football.
Quinn was involved with the running of a business, top top bloke, but just maybe too nice for the position he held.
People that high up have to be ruthless as there's no room for sentiment.
Hence Quinn was moved sideways and a few weeks later bye bye Bruce.
