Does AA have a long term future at SAFC?

It's too early to say what Adil is capable of, he's looked pretty good generally but he's not had anything like a decent run in the side or a vote of confidence from the coach the whole time he's been here. I'd say he's done well in fairly difficult circumstances.

He's got ability, works hard and probably takes the best set pieces of anyone at the club.

Disagree on the works hard bit... at least 3 times let his man go in an overlap 1-2... we were very lucky not to be punished

I feel like LW has worked for him, he doesn't typically have the pace to get that far up the pitch and losing the ball on the edge of the box and facing a transition/counter is less likely with him, being a tad deeper naturally helps him out for defensive shape as well. He has done a job for us in the last two games, not convinced he gets a sniff when we have players back but it's hard to knock his performances recently.

Fits into a 4/4/2 as does our current squad , its flexible and does away with conventional wingers which with Watson and Mundle out we are well short of alternatives.

Im so on the fence with Aouchiche. I’m happy for him to stay but if he was sold I’d shrug and move on.

I think if he goes and has a good loan in one of the oil leagues, that's the only way we'll make our money back on him, because a low end Ligue 1 side isn't forking out seven figures for him.

While he has done well last couple of games, I still think he might go if we can sign better

The boy has talent for sure but his decision making is shocking and I still don't trust him defensively

I get he probably needs a run of games but if we can sign better then he is one of tbe ones we should be able to actually sell

I'd have to watch it back mate, my impression is he's a willing runner who always puts a shift in. Could be uncertainty at times due to rustiness/inexperience or then again it could be laziness as you say.

Loved his willingness to get into the box when Isidor had beat his man before scoring on Wednesday night. Got himself into a great position if there was a rebound/square ball

@Smug in Boots says he's re-watching the game today, I'll quiz him later <laugh>

Jobe definitely had a word with him for not tracking back... I counted at least 3 occasions

For me a squad player at best
The team is a squad. Sorry mate I just don’t like this term ‘squad player’ that gets used. We can’t rely on the same 11 players every game for the whole season. That’s why we have a squad to select players from based on the type of opposition, injuries, form and a whole lot of other variables. Ole Gunnar Solskjær was described as a ‘super sub’ for Manchester United but he could never be described as a ‘squad player’.
Some players will get more game time than others but they’re all useful to the team throughout the season.

Does a job, not the threat that Watson or Mundle are on the left but not many are.

Featured in our last 5 games

I’d like to think he’s here until at least the summer now
