Did Maradona (twice) rubbish the club that owned him, when going out on loan moves, only to be forced to return, when that club, didnt want to stump up a fair valuation ?
I'm not saying that's how long he's got, he certainly wont be given that amount of time to prove himself. I mean he has to produce the whole time and for a prolonged period, not pretend to love the club one minute and play for us to gain a transfer in January. I believe the guy has to start at the bottom again, come in and earn not only his place by consistently playing well, but to do it over the course of a whole season or two, to prove not only that he can do it consistently, but to prove he can fit in to a team and become part of that team and not just playing for himself. Only then can he deserve the kind of move that he believes he deserves.
Has Adel been arrested multiple times, been convicted, tested positive for doping, positive for cocaine, been involved with prostitutes both female and trans, started shooting at journalists with an air rifle, had contacts the Camorra, arrested for domestic violence and much, much more? No, he's pure as ****ing driven snow in comparison FFS.
Striker problem solved if he plays like he did in our first promotion season. He has never looked like doing that in the PL however.
