Totally agree with ya mate, just never tire of watching his worshippers bow to him...Col even inferred that he had a good season last year...! comical... But have to say he's been a diffrent player this year and stands to prove many (me included) wrong....! Still not gonna judge until hes played 10 or so and had a fair run and chance to show himself.....BUT, that pie is slowly edging my way at the moment !!!..Tomatoe sauce anyone ?
Mate, i agree with the gist of the post but cant agree totally. You'd only have toask a Spuds fan 12 months ago to get what i mean. He's achieved nothing as a manager, but then again, what English manager has ?Dont start on about La Tournoi either !! Think he keep us up short term with the current players and VERY limited budget in Jan,also the proviso he doesnt selll our No10 this season....?
Judging by the posts, completely justified, about Granero's indiscipline and I certainly have seen him tackled leading to the opposition scoring, I fear the only pie you will be eating my friend will be a humble one. Perhaps you might even have to digest a double helping.
Yorkie..you are watching a diffrent game to the rest of us all...Granero has delivered in every game he's played. he has not been MOM in al but F-Me.Tarbs didnt even get near that last season.. Again..In case you didnt understand... Tarbs ha sbeen good so far this season in the games he has played. obviously cant comment about the ones he didnt play in. Granero has been above average in EVERY game so far...go read all the other experts, commentators, supporters etc posts for yourself. YOu are the ONLY person i have seen put Granero down on ANY website, forum or in print. At least when i slated Tarb for being sh*te in his prem season; there were a number of like minded individuals across a lot of forums and in the media.... I'm sure we're all wrong and you're right though mate ! Just put your hands up, admit you know know nothing about the boy or Spanish football and move on.... good luck mate PS..i will happily post an appology to you all and tarbs should he keep up this fine form....will you ?
Now now, Queenie. Don't get the hump. My comments are not directed at Granero himself. They're directed at YOU. My posts about Taarabt are balanced. Yours are beginning to be. You really do have to get out of the mindset that those of us who thought all along that Taarabt got unfair stick every single time he didn't put in a match winning performance are his arselickers. Your post earlier on in this thread mockinlgy accusding swords is a classic case in point. If Adel is to be judged by those standards, I simply make the point, again, that you have to judge everyone by the same standards even your beloved St Esteban. To answer your postscript question directly, when I have a pop at Granero and he proves me wrong I will happily apologise without mincing my words. However, like you, I will bide my time. I will wait till the end of the season. After all, given G's undoubted talent, it is obvious is it not that we will be sitting pretty by then. If not, no doubt the inquest will begin and the lynchmobs will be looking for more than one victim.
Yorkie...without going into to much detail (as its 10pm here) you are kind of missing the point of my posts.... Lets try again Tarbs has been great so far this season. Cannot fault him in most of his games. Hope he carries it on Granero, (new to league, new country, new league. new language ne team mates...etc) has delivered every singlegame. The only reason my post re: Tarbs are becoming mopre balanced is because they are fitting in with your opinions As for the arselickers comment..absolute rubbish.he put in plenty of under-par performances that were acceptable. The problem comes when people think he is the second coming and all he does is correct of deffensible. Fact is- he was not good enough LAST SEASON..!! Again, he's been great this season and I'll happily back him if he can do it for 50% of the season....every season, as per an average prem football player. Yorkie. I dont mind taking stick from someone with a diffrent opinion. If that is what you believe, then good luck to you. I hope you stick to your beliefs and back them AND they come true... Personally was never convinced about T's ability to mature to prem standards, as proven last season...but..has made a massive jump this year. even if we go down, if Tarbs keeps up his performances I will happily accept his maturity and right to play alongside the best (in UK)! Good luck Yorkie..no hard feelings!
Now that's the way a spat should always end. We can differ but respect each other's views. My ideal end of season will be one where we look back fondly and laugh at the argument as they compete gaianst each other for player of the year. Good night and sweet dreams
Excellent OP Swords, right up there with the best I've seen on here. Can't help but see a bit of a parallel between Taarabt's overall potential and performance history to date - and your's on here!
not for me north, wasted the ball in possession and poor efforts on goal including the easy chance you mention
Hmm, not quite with you there. I agree he tried hard and he deserves credit for that but his finishing was poor. One on one with the keeper and he puts it almost straight at him. Still, he forced a fine save out of their keeper 2nd half and kept going all game. Not one of his better performances but he's getting consistent with either good or half-decent displays. I'd probably give my MOTM to Mackie.
You're not good on differing opinions are you? And I said SWP was good for one half at Arsenal and sh*t in the second. Please tell the truth when quoting someone! (Cheers Killy, first gold star I've got since I learned joined-up writing )
Good first half was he? You'll have to remind me of his goals/assists / crosses . Up against the Arsenal L/B who got tore a new one yesterday( he dealt with SWP no probs). Or are you referring to his much vaunted defensive contribution? Plus today was not a good game for Mackie. Ya Feckin Eeejit
