That was Taarabt's fault imo. After all the fetching and carrying to keep favour with him last year (dud captainsy an' all), Taarabt's efforts to get a move to a big club undermined and disrespected all Warnock's efforts last summer. To his credit, Warnock was quite forgiving but AT's continued posturing, sulks, turning up for training when he felt like it etc. and the Fulham bus-out simply made relations between them worse. I think Warnock felt he needed to be shown who's boss. If his improved performances towards the end and his words in the article are anything to go by, seems Adel was playing to impress in time for a January move.
Thanks for the reminder, with all thats happened recently I'd almost forgotten what a complete pillock Taarabt is! The one that sticks in my throat is him talking openly last Summer about wanting a move to chelsea, but when you think of all the times he's put his foot in his mouth you can see why Barton's arrival upset him so much - we signed the only footballer in the country more full of **** than him. I don't believe a word he says anymore.
