Along with Col and DT I absolutely love the things that Adel can do, he is an amazing, amazing talent. But... he is a terrible distraction to running a football club (come to that he's a terrible distraction to the QPR board). If he could deliver the goods with passion and desire for football, his colleagues and the club (and not for himself) great. We all want that to happen so badly, we will happily put on our football blinkers. But we all know he won't. For the sake of the club... Adel..... You're fired!! Goodbye. And I even hate myself for saying it!!!!
ON the money Col very important to me that QPR keeps it's identity of playing one flair player in our side .... Its my biggest fear that our club loses its soul with all the changes on the way Football players in truth often have bad attitudes ... for me that's important to rebel .. make a list lads of great players and you will see that attitude is closely linked to genius Best Marsh Bowles Cantona Suarez Maradonna Gazza Zidane Terry Moore Pele etc etc ... add your own Now try and make a team up will clean model players ... i rest my case
I dont think any supporter of any club doesn't want a flair player or two in their side. Its crucial !! But they have to be prepared to knuckle down, train hard, and show grit and determination on the field, and passion for the club they represent. Without knowing all the goings on at Fulham and Milan, why did Adel fall out with both opportunities to show his flair and skill at the highest level ? A number are questioning Laudrup on another thread about his ego, despite very acceptable achievements at clubs he has managed, but yet questions about why sackings as well.
The usual ´anti-english´ rhetoric from DT Footfungus - give it a rest Paul, as for Trabant, terrible attitude the last couple of seasons + disruptive influence + will decimate the dressing room - (good player though when it suits him) = NO THANKS!
Italian press presently reporting that we're holding out for a price not less than a cent short of â¬7m. As a old boss of mine many years ago used to opine at times if deadlock; 'if you're not going to piss, get off the potty!'. I suspect Philip Beard is informing Kia Joorabchian and AC Milan's delegates of something similar! Another good sign suggesting that we're doing more of the right things behind the scenes.
Yet again... another good post today. If you're so confident he will be a good player for you, cough up the wad and close the deal. Keep the backbone Tony, Phil and the Board.
Meanwhile, Redknapp is aware Taarabt would prefer to return to Italy but says the mercurial Moroccan will stay at Loftus Road if Milan don’t stump up the cash needed to take him to the San Siro. He added: “Adel would like to go back to Milan possibly, but if they don’t pay the money he will stay here.” Read more at http://talksport.com/football/redkn...rabt-warning-140718102538#mrt3yFxeHVMoa1Lf.99 I'm liking this new attitude. Tony Fernandes said we had learnt our lessons; I'm seeing proof of this every day!
Here's an interesting trio, that along with Adel, made Fulham their home for a bit:-
Sounds good but only works if Adel actually does play for us, and play well, if he doesn't go elsewhere. Will Redknapp risk playing him?
It seems patently obvious he is only with us because he is obliged to in order to get his paycheck. In one of the videos he was asked if he was glad to be back and he looked less than enchanted, even embarrassed, to be even asked the question. Frankly it's a storyline that has jumped the shark.. I would love to have him 2010/11 but I think we need to accept it's probably never going to happen- but, as always, it's the hope that kills you.
