Can understand all the posts moaning about this signing if he was gonna be starting every game, but he's been brought in for his experience on and off the pitch in the same way Solano was last season. He adds another option to the team, like it or not he's a good player to have on the bench if NP switches to a 451 to protect a lead or settle for a point away from home.
If he gives 100% and can chip in with the odd goal of the bench and set a few up then we'll all be happy.
 
Totally agree with you. A lot of very unfair comments re Adebola tonight.

He's a Tiger now and I for one don't believe in rubbishing those that havent been tried (Oxley) and those than put in a shift even if they arent as good as some (Garcia, Harper).
 
If Adebola can recieve the ball and hold onto it until we get up the field we could see us passing it about in the opponents half a bit more - not like last season when teams were happy to watch us passing it round on the half way line and our area!!
Just cause he's a "target man" it don't mean we'll hoof it at every chance.
 
The reasons for his signing are obvious for all to see. You're wasting your breathe with some people though. In fairness, we could've signed Peter Crouch for £5m tonight and someone would still moan.

so who do we take off for the last 20 mins cos thats all his old legs will have in him.are we chasing games?

Who says he's only got 20 minutes in him? Nick Barmby is a fit lad at 37. Deano was fit at 39. If Adebola has looked after himself, he'll be good for an hour or a half a game easy. Judge him on what we see, not what you've decided already.

I was out with Leigh Palin earlier this week, he's still connected at Forest and knows many of the lads quite well, he described him as being 'as fit as a butchers dog'.
 
I agree with the general consensus on here, he's a city player now, let's see what he can do. I saw him as a thorne in our side in when we first went into the championship from league 1, granted that may have been 6 years ago but we all keep hearing good things about him from the Forest fans. I think most people know why we've signed him, and it's something we were crying out for last season.
 
glad the butcher's dog (which I believe is named Rump) issue has been sorted.. I was a touch concerned..

now Adebola is a City player we back him, I can see him doing well..
