Which brings up the question asked many times on this forum what in the **** does on in the coaching sessions?
Go to any match at this high level and you will see that teams separate themselves into groups and knock the ball around within a 6m square after all that represents 70% of play ... on the floor quick passing with a player closing down ... its the basics IMO ... these units then become the backbone of how you control the ball ... small moments of play that will work you a position to play a better pass. The defence probe and the same time move the ball across the pitch always looking for these small set ups of position and opportunity to move and build a passage of play forwards ... watch any high level game and this will be the pattern
So QPR at the moment look disjointed have no links between play and yesterday a lli saw first half was players chasing shadows at least 5 secs of the game against a average team like Stoke who themselves had little idea. We have had two weeks to get fired up for this game and make it a belter ... what did us fans get? Yes it improved 2nd half but we were two down. I put to any QPR fan does our defence look like they can play the ball around comfortable in the very place that composure is required ... the dead zone I was taught where attacks are built ... I cannot answer yes. Do the triangles exist? by that i mean the support play around the ball ? I cannot answer yes. Was there any other service up to Austin other than a punt? ... We need that creative player who always has time on the ball and can spilt play ... I won't mention his name but you can instantly see where he was on it all changes.
I can only think that Harold's idea must be that we punt it forward and hope two players can hold it up and bring in others ... it is nuts
We have wide players not even picked we have no shape ... we are gambling and fire fighting ... if that is the tactics then bring in Rio to run things at the back he is a brilliant ball player out of defence ... still possibly the best there is if given a chance he has looked poor because we are not set up right ... any defence in this league looks poor if they concede but I have never seen anything like what happened for our second goal yesterday ... at one point 5 QPR players runnings back towards their own after Vargas lost the ball in another disjointed triangle. It was not Vargas or Isla or Henry who was to blame IMO ... its the set up and tehfact that our team is 5 seconds behind the play.... Stephen Ireland looked like Xavi yesterday first half he floated around the park while Barton who in his head is the perfect midfielder chased shadows ... He has not got it lads his positioning is costing us and Henry covers his arse every match i have seen
Henry has been very decent in the role he is paid to do stick Rio behind him with Nedum ... Isla and Yun and there's a start. Fer sits in the middle and will connect with a player like Adel or a Vargas
Width? Phillips and Hoilett its a no brainer
I would set up for the game against Hull away and win the midfield.

Taarabt hopefully he finds a proper club but if he is here then starts as sub until he is back in form ... if he does then he will run the entire game
Had enough of the luxury player crap from some on here I fully believe Taarabt could be the answer ... after all can we get worse away from home?

Subs McCathy Barton or Sandro Krancjar Zamora Caulker
Or we could just buy in more players
