Don't think I'm making it a regular thing But I'm not all doom and gloom, I think that Daws has played well and really stepped up to the captaincy plate (again) in pre-season so far, can't find fault even though he's been part of a VERY shoddy defensive display. And I'm not the only one who thinks that we're not at the races, even Harry says we were disappointing on Tuesday in the second half!
Pavlyuchenko made 38 appearances for us last season. He also had a run of about 10 consecutive starts towards the end of the season. That wouldn't suggest that Redknapp doesn't rate him. Adebayor offers more than just goals. He can play the lone role well, which none of our current crop of strikers can, for a start.

If he wants regular 1st team football, which I believe he would get here, then we're not a bad choice, its up to him whether money is an issue. Others have signed for less wages than they were on, VdV and Gallas spring to mind, so we'll see, he's got many years to earn money still.
Pav is a good player in my opinion. Wenger was interested in signing him too. He is a good player, although his confidence seems shot to pieces at Spurs. Adebayor is a top striker, make no mistake. I was gutted when he left Arsenal, despite the circumstances. He would improve any team. But with him, you also get his ego and his baggage. And for Spurs fans, there'd be a bit of humble pie to digest, given the opinion with which he once once held. But he has indicated he would play for spurs. So hypothetically it could happen. I would have him back at Arsenal.
I think he would naturally prefer CL football, so it would depend on who was interested, who's in that comp. Of the PL teams, United, would be sitting down alot. Chavs, not needed, as a starter either. L'Arse, Wenger doesn't do buy backs...to my knowledge anyway. Pool, not needed. Only leaves us really, but I'm sure a CL team will come in for him.

I don't make any secret of my disdain for him, prefer him to stay as far away as possible, he was the epitome of a ****er when he played against us in the CL last year, as he had been playing for L'Arse but then again I didn't want Gallas either and that was an almighty error on my part.
City would rather loan him to Cardiff and pay all his wages as well as his bus fare to get there, let us sign him.

I would imagine finally, his desire for a game every week, considering agewise he's at his peak, and preferably CL footy would come before money, we'll have to see.
I think other factors will over-ride any potentially dealbreaking money demands...he needs first and foremost, a club and football in that order.
