that one obviously doesn't count You can try to be pedantic of course, but the point is RvP was misfiring and missing sitters all early season. Quality can't be determined over such a low sample of games.
"Pedantic"? That's bitter, loser talk for "correct" I'm not saying it can but I'm also not the one saying they're quality. You're judging Giroud on his ability to score loads in a league that Gervinho and Chamakh both scored freely in.
There isn't one, just call it "Premier League" I’m sure your fingers won't fall to pieces if you type that.
Pedantic??? you really are a cock, RVP scored his 7th in all comps during October, considering the season starts mid August, most PL managers would be delighted if any of their strikers were on 7 after 7 weeks. YV's spot on...you can't get fuk all right! If you're representing your club as a wum, can you stay here!
I appreciate the gooner trying to look at things in a positive manner. An honest assessment is Arsenal have sold their 4 best players in the last 2 seasons, Fabregas, Nasri, RVP and Song, all to major rivals. We have so far lost (of players we wanted to keep) only Modric and we have brought in Vertonghen, Sigurdsson and Adebayor so far this transfer window. Maybe the new signings will be good enough to replace what they have lost. Time will tell.
Sure. I didn't do my research well, but thing is he was frustrating in the beginning of the season in that terrible run we had. Interesting how our one man team never gets any blame though for that. we created plenty chances he kept missing sitter after sitter, until (coincidentally?) the team started playing well together did he start to be more clinical. I remember he was pretty crap at the start, don't know why September was the first date that turned up on my search though. i blame alcohol. Sent from a mobile device.
i think song was criticized more than his fair share from arsenal fans for his lack of defensive attention, and I've always said that. But interesting how he's gone from a donkey to 'best player' in a span of a week for you guys. Sent from a mobile device.
0825 and we have a gooner on our board,he must find us very interesting or he's bored stiff with his own or both. I've been on the gooner board once to say that RvP will flop at Utd. I've noticed that often when a player leaves a club after a very successful spell that he flops at the next one,Keane,Torres etc especially if they are big money signings naming Carroll as another. I'm talking about mainly in the PL. If Carroll goes back to Newcastle I'm certain he'll do a Keaneand flop. They might yet be laughing at RvP.
i won't be here too long, just long enough to witness the very passive aggressive reaction to the spicy news coming up. I think i have already seen some cracks in your resolve. a bit more touchy than usual. Sent from a mobile device.
gent, you're hallucinating if you have seen signs of loss of resolve but please feel free to disappear as quickly as possible as you've suggested. When you come onto the Spurs board the average IQ takes a nosedive.
You've actually just prolonged my stay here. Those kinds of personal insults are just the kind of reactions I was talking about. Sent from a mobile device.
This is a serious question since the mighty Thor is trying to deviate from the topic Do you think Ade'a lazy attitude and ego will be a problem with AVB down the line? He didn't seem to deal with big egos that well at Chelsea. Sent from a mobile device.
he said he's grown up and learned a lot since the chav's,so prehap's he can handle big ego's now,he had 3 to tackle at Chelsea!.
Nope. The only way I can see us having problems with Adebayor would be if we signed Damiao and he overtook him as first choice but I'd be surprised if there was much truth to the renewal of Damiao rumours.
i have not seen Ade's big ego at Spurs. Also, he was far from lazy all last season. Worked his socks off. I'm sure we'll be fine
Gent - I don't think you watched too closely last season...understandably I should add, but Ade was one of the most hard working players we had, always on the move, Gary Neville even said, "I've never seen Adebayor so mobile", we can't all be wrong! To shed some light also on the mercenary tag, wrong again. City gave him 175k p/wk for 5 yrs. I believe Ade committed 50kp/wk to his good causes, including building projects which he is now committed too. So, lets say for example if we were to offer within our structure say 80k, he loses 50k and ends up himself on 30k...why would anyone agree to that? Its not his fault City signed him for 5yrs and didn't want him for 4 of them!
he's looked good when I've seen him for spurs but i obviously haven't watched all games. But he looked quite good for us as well when he had something to prove. Once he was convinced he was top dog though different story... Arguably last season with you guys he had to prove he's good enough for city. Sent from a mobile device.
Was Adebayor lazy at City, Madrid, Monaco, Metz or last season at Spurs? Doesn't seem like it. Did Gallas ever have a fit on the pitch at Chelsea, Marseille, Caen or since he's joined Spurs? Can't remember one. Perhaps the problem wasn't with the players, but with their environment?
All very true PNP, those that left were pissed off not winning anything, for a top club (as they were then! ) nothing for 7 yrs is unacceptable...this article today sheds light on that very subject! http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...786/Stars-quit-Arsenal-and-win-44-medals.html
