Thought it worth a thread to collate a list of potential revenue streams for the club to make us massive (obvs Obi is already there).

Here's my thoughts (all per annum):

Summer gigs and events- £20m
Revenue from the stack - £10m
Stadium sponsorship (@ SJP style)- £20m
4 stands to be sponsored- £10m
Training ground to be sponsored- £5m
Use SJP for massive beam back events from away games- £10m
Separate out main kit and training kit sponsorship - £5m
Increase food and drink offering and get better margins- £3m
External hospitality venues (like the barker and stonehouse store the club are converting to offsite hospitality) £2m

There's £85m potentially as a starter.. per season.

Training ground sponsorship etc makes sense. With getting better margins, it feels like that's something that the fans would invariably end up paying for, so I'd stay away from that.

Success in the pitch will go hand in hand with sponsorships.

European football would have a direct impact on sponsorship income.

The exposure to the Saudi market which is likely untapped for most western businesses is also a clear winner winner chicken dinner option.
 
All great,.but the appetite to do any of this doesn't seem to be there at the moment.. why? They qualified for the champions league and didn't bother to do it.

What's that to do with the sponsors they got or didn't bother to last summer... they didn't bother and they didn't bother loaning players from Saudi.

The Saudis aren't that arsed mate.... just a small investment.

It was fact they didn't get any of those sponsorships in the summer... they aren't that bothered mate. They've got much bigger project's and fish to fry.

Firstly, because the amount we spend is linked with how much sponsorship money we get.

Secondly, ‘didn’t bother’? Really? Sela, Fun88, Carlsberg and last but not least Adidas to name but some. Try not to let facts get in the way of your agenda.

It's irrelevant In terms of what was being discussed. The thing you were crying about was me saying they didn't get the sponsors listed in OP in the summer. Basically you realised you messed up and instead started pointing away elsewhere about spend which was irrelevant.

Unfortunately they didn't get these sponsors listed in the OP in the summer, that is correct isn't it ? They didn't bother with doing it.

No. You’re just trying to move the goalposts yet again.

The issue is increasing the number of sponsors and the amount being received from sponsorship and they are doing this as is abundantly clear from the sponsors and amounts since the takeover including last summer. Your crying that they aren’t, no matter how loud you cry, just won’t change the facts.

Facts just keep getting in the way of your little agenda, don’t they?
