I reckon Assem probably does have some songs which include his name, but the fans certainly don't sing them. It does look like the majority don't want him back, but that just makes me think the majority don't know what they're on about. As I said before, if you ask the question at an away game you'd get an overwhelming yes. Some people don't remember Brown, Barmby or Taylor fondly either, which is just as wrong.
lol yes the fans do. The majority don't know what they're on about? Hah. Not worth responding to that. I understand why some people think the way they do about Brown. For me, I thought he was ok, just got a little carried away on the tidal wave of success, and was slightly mesmerised by the allure of TV. I don't think he was helped by the owners, chairman etc at the time, plus the club was being run so badly, looking back it's really not funny at all. Taylor, yeah, not sure why anyone wouldn't remember him fondly, I sure as hell do. Barmby, I don't understand the need to venerate the guy so much. He was a professional footballer who plied his trade at the highest levels he could at the time. He had more than a few faults, some of which made him a decent player such as his passion and sometimes those same things caused the red mist to descend. Passion and a short fuse, not a great combo really, especially if you're a new manager. Fergie got away with it, but Nick wasn't even close to that level in management. So, I remember Barmby fondly as a player in the twilight of his career for us, nowt else. I wouldn't put any of those 3 in the same ballpark as Pearson though. They were at least all about the club, well mostly until Brownie lost it eventually, whereas the only thing that mattered to Pearson was Pearson, not the long term success, viability or sustainability of the club. He's the sort of guy who's always got a back out plan ready to roll.
Out of courtesy to your good self I decided to have another read in case I had misunderstood something. I was still laughing at the end. It comes across as the sad ramblings of a massively deluded fxxkwit. Just saying.
Even if that was true, those are the exact things you religiously defend Allam for now. We've never had a more self-obsessed person involved in the club than Allam and he doesn't even try to hide it. And don't talk bollocks. You've never heard Assem Allam's name sung by the fans, it's simply never happened. I have to wonder if you actually mix with other City fans at all when you say things like that.
Why do people think it such a crime for a owner to make money? When the owner is making money it usually means the club is successful. Anyone who questions what Adam Pearson did for Hull City is bonkers. He transform this club from lower division also rans to professional Championship club.
We all know it's nothing to with that. It's the fact he changes 5% on his apparent gift to the City of Hull
I don't care about AA making a profit, the interest he's charging on the loan is exactly what I'd do in his position, his problem is his 'gift' claims and always banging on about how much he's invested. He's had about £20m back, while keeping the full loan amounts outstanding, that's very good business, it looks good on his CV, he might as well be honest about it, he'd get an easier ride.
He then transformed the club from a Premier League club to a mid-table Championship club. If he never came back for that second spell then I'd probably be as gushing as PLT, but he did and it was a shambles of the highest order. The sacking of Brown, the appointments of Dowie, Pearson and Barmby, the mistreatment of players and is tendency to run to the press to make himself look good even if it was detrimental to the club. His ego took over second time around and it can't be ignored, it nearly put us out of business.
The owners when he came back had lied to him, then continued to lie even after they had gone. A certain person made it look as though the financial problems were the fault of one other person, when in fact they all had their noses in the trough. If AP had been aware of all the problems he would not have come back.
